Considering a Compact Rifle. A 0-100 yard Rifle.

AR15 seems the cheapest choice for what I'm looking for, but I'm too lazy at this point to go scouring the internet for the cheapest AR deal out there.

So this is a question for all the high speed gunslingers out there, or whoever keeps up with this run n gun stuff.

What's the cheapest AR deal out there?

16 inch barrel, Mid length gas tube. No Sights Chromoly Barrel fine.

Cast lower, with cheap tele-buttstock?

That's it, anybody got any links?

PSA usually has complete lowers for around $150 and complete uppers for around $400. Just slap on a rear sight and you're gtg.

Cheapest??? Probably building something up with stuff from psa.

I'd get the dd mk18 though.

Compact, but still 16"? And mid-length is your only requirement? Out of curiosity, why that?

For $550 I'm not sure how you go wrong, unless you need mid-length.

For a basic 16" gun to play with and customize, I'd probably buy one of the colt 6920s that come without furniture or a basic bravo company m4.

I have a dd m4v3 which is a mid length with a 16" barrel, not sure I'd call it compact but it's a sweet gun.

If a basic colt is something that interests you, also check out the fnh m4. Price is similar but the fnh has sort of a cool factor to it.

I have no idea what that means. DD?

OK thanks, but most of everything posted is carbine length gas tube.

I just did some looking and found this:

That's sufficient and only like $360. Another $70 for a trigger, and then a basic close quarter scope and a cheap laser. Plenty good. Thanks. Carry on.

My bad didn't even see the mid length.

What are you using it for.

Oh, why that: Less hammering of the bolt etc. Looks proportionally better, aesthetically balanced. gnome say'n?

I recalled a few buddies mentioning keeping shit like this for vehicle carry guns, and for the price, its cheaper than some handgun, more effective and meaner looking.

I can screw my can on it.

Not something I need, just buy on a whim stuff.

Cheaper the better for the purpose.

Check this out, got my 3 inch AR500 Steel discs.

Great for precision, and stress practice. 22 rimfire or 223.

Have you thought about doing an AR pistol? Much smaller and compact. You could also do like a 8.5" 300 AAC black out for example. Better knock down, perfect for inside 100 yards.

Cheap as well.

I'm considering my next build in mid-length. But I want to flute the barrel and keep as much of it exposed as possible, for aesthetics. :)

Yeah man, get an ar pistol and get that sig sauer "brace" thing.

Get the Colt OEM 2. Then you can get the furniture you want
