v1

So damn hot here. 33 degrees Celsius here yesterday. I so wish we had an aircon in our place, but you see, we don't.

What are rent / buy square meter prices where you guys live? Living adjacent to one of the bigger cities, I'm paying 10 Euros rent per square meter, which is good (would probably be 13 if I had to make the contract now). Together with heating and water, I am looking at a cost of about 13 Euros per square meter and month. 1300 Euro per 1076 square feet. That translates to something of 1.35 dollars per square foot.

Take cover! German V-2 approaching

saw this today in the Target parking lot.

I live in central Stockholm. The average square meter price here is approximately: 100,000 SEK = 10,385 EURO = $11,620

I casually looked at what it would cost to rent an apartment in these parts of Stockholm, somewhere around 40 EURO per square meter.

Costs are out of control!

I own what you'd call a Doppelhaushaelfte

How are you supposed to pay for that after socialist taxes?

By taking massive cheap loans. Until recently, just about everyone could avoid amortizing on their loans, which lead to a spike in housing prices and loans.

When the interest rates will go up, there will be a lot of people leaving their homes...

The government and municipalties are not making it easier for the common man, since they are bidding on properties and buying them for recently arrived immigrants.

lol sounds about right
but at least people can attend college for free, so you can always get your degree communication studies instead of an apartment

Renting a 3 bedroom with a friend. Abut a dolar a square foot for rental.

@Fawlty, yeah, I think that one's priced about right.

Man, 212 as a whole looks like a really shitty PPV card, but the main event might be the best possible matchup the UFC can put on (rivaled by a couple of canceled fights, IMO).

Why is house moving so stressful?

Bad luck certainly doesn't help. First buyers on my house pulled out. Seconds ones couldn't get the mortgage. Finally we got a buyer who's going to be ok.
Now, we find the perfect place, but it fails the construction survey. Something about a single skin supporting wall.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFuk!

Yep, willing to pay 70 just for the ME alone but I can't get excited about anything else on it -- feels like a sub par fight night

Are you laying anything on Max? 120+ enough to tempt you?

Probably no bet here for me. I think I'm leaning very slightly toward Aldo. Such a huge fight that I think it would be fun to have something riding on it, but the odds look right to me (Aldo's actually getting a little tempting).

Who is everyone here picking?

Man, such an amazing title fight with such a poor undercard.

Only thing other than the ME that looks interesting to me is Assuncao/Moraes. I am always excited to see how big names from outside do, and Assuncao is a stiff challenge for anyone.

I have no clue, but leaning Holloway slightly.

The fight went kind of how I thought (minus leg kicks from Aldo), with a slow pace early favoring Aldo, Max trying to step it up and getting hit but not being discouraged and landing more later. But I didn't expect Max to be able to hurt Aldo so badly. I was thinking like it would go the distance with Aldo taking 1,2, and maybe a last burst to get 4.

I wonder where Aldo goes from here. He looked absolutely brilliant at times during the fight, but he seems old, despite not being old, and the chin might be diminished. He's now landed exactly one leg kick in his last four fights combined (obviously one of those isn't meaningful for the purpose of looking at his tendency, but one in three fights is still crazy for him).

What did you eat last night Mr Savage?
