I had a 100% communist professor in college who was like hearing Maduro speak in a common core (dont know if its the right term) course. Im pretty sure that a few nutters in irrelevant courses arent changing the world.

It's an ideology that is being pushed and financed internationally. The lady is perhaps taking things further than most would openly, but the sentiment is far from unique.
