A) Nationalism is not limited to protectionist approach. We can trade but look out for ourselves. What makes a country great/prosperous? I say it's human capital and natural resources. If a country is doing well it is because it has the right human capital in the country, like a ratio of demographics- working age to retired, ethnic and religious. If you mess it up things start going downhill fast. Look at Japan- hardly any immigration- only Japanese live there on that tiny spec of island. Yet they make some of the best products and are leading in new developments. Their culture is very unique and they don't want to dilute it and I can 100% respect that.

B) C'mon, is that even a serious discussion. ANTIFA does like that sickle with hammer or the red colors of Communist Revolution.

As far as "American" cable stations concerned, I don't know if you remember my thread about billionaires who own media and how US media is no longer controlled by only Americans. Basically you can have a foreign national own US media and hire whomever he wants to.

I feel like I might be jumping into the middle here, but if we're talking about Oliver I think he's got an American wife and son, and he's been here for quite a while.

After looking it up, his wife is an Iraqi War vet. Once he started raising a family here, I figure he's got skin in the game and deserves to speak his mind just like the rest of us.

I actually believe in capitalism within mixed market parameters. There is a point ($300-500 million) where a single person should not own that much resources. It creates national security risks and could undermine democracy.

So, you're still a filthy rich guy at 300 mil, but there is no reason for you to have 90 billion like Jeff Bezos or Microsoft. It will only lead to bad things.

US has been a mixed market economy since 1820's to a variable degree.

Quit grandstanding, when you're a socialist yourself. Absolute laissez faire market does not work and neither does communism.

Premise of communism was creating an absolute economic equality, which is retarded. I am merely supporting an idea of capping wealth to where it does not cause national security risks, which it has shown to cause. Saying I'm ok with someone attaining 300 milion vs average working person of net worth 50k makes me a communist. LOL
