WSJ: Trump Lawyer Arranged $130,000 Payment for Adult-Film Star’s Silence

Oh no, you're not getting off that easily.

That's not trolling, that's an opinion you're embarrassed about and are now trying to distance yourself from. Don't do this to yourself, just take the knee.

I know that the pastors there had good intentions but they should've known that President Trump saw this as a publicity stunt he could feed to his base.

Don't worry, he's found Jesus.

All the rubes tell me so.

Also, I'd bet money he is banging his official "spiritual adviser" (a hot televangelist who is also on her third marriage).

Oh I was honestly serious about you guys absolutely loving anything that smacks of dirt on him, but I also knew full well none of you could resist commenting on my opinion. It works on both angles for me.

Do you really care whether he did it or not? Does it even cross your mind it might not be factual?

Maybe someone will come out with an unsubstantiated claim that he eats babies and you can rub one out to that too.

Let's see if the most litigious president in history pays that claim to go away, too.

Don't change the subject. You're the one who immediately defended it as if it was factual, not me.

...or he didn't do it but paid anyway just to shut her up before the election. Much like many rich men do when it's easier to throw money at a problem than go through the time, hassle and pr issues of proving your innocence.

Not sure if he did either way, but I always love reading how quick so many are here to believe anything negative about the guy. Maybe someone will come out with an unsubstantiated claim that he eats babies and you can rub one out to that too.

Trump has lawyers on retainer - he doesn't personally need to spend any time or hassle to fight an unsubstantiated claim.

If the claim was completely untrue, he would've sued the fuck out of her for libel.

Is this really that hard to believe? I believe it but not because it reflects negatively on him because even if true it doesn't really change how I view him. I don't think many people believe he and Melania married out of "twue wove" for each other and most of us expected this sort of thing is the norm within their marriage. Its one of the last things I'd hold against Trump because I don't really care if he's fucked porn stars over a decade ago.

I don't see the logic in throwing $130,000 at someone for lying. Rich people don't stay rich that way.

Believe what you want, but nothing in the story indicates he paid to get laid. You're just speculating.

You dont think he has paid for every piece of pussy he has ever gotten?

resting, my case is.

I defended nothing, I suggested it might not be true. Unless there's actual proof he did who really knows. It's her word against his and this isn't an uncommon situation for powerful rich men. Companies and individuals pay all the time rather than bother with court because it's easier to deal with it that way regardless of whether they did it or not. It saves time and PR, especially if people WANT to believe you're guilty.

I see it hear all the time on both sides. The rush to defend him on truly stupid shit and the rush to believe every thing negative said about him.

If he did it, shame on him but so what?
If he didn't, shame on her but so what?

If your in the the process of an election run it's faster, easier and less of a potential PR nightmare to throw money at it then take the time to break the accusation down. Companies and individuals do this all the time.
