Lake Monsters and Sea Serpents

These people also don't have a peer reviewed study for that ridiculous claim. If you think science means blindly believing whatever bullshit someone says without going your own due diligence, then that explains why you say stupid shit.

I don't believe in sea monsters or trumpets in the sky, but I do believe in actual science. You don't need a peer reviewed journal for this... they're the people collecting and assimilating the data. The 5% statement comes from this map:

Thread's gone to shizz, innit. So many people just want to shit over things they don't agree with, rather than do the obvious thing and don't bother venturing into the thread. I see a thread about reality TV, I don't bother entering. Why waste your time, like?

this

That's the thing, split the cryptozoology bs/legends from simply animals that are far bigger than theyr normal size

I ever found the latter far more interessing, as they're actual real life "monsters" as you say... something that actually exist over touristic legends and bad photoshops

Example watch this page, it compares average weight of various species next to the biggest ever recorded:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Largest_organisms

So you can see in nature happen we get animals that reach twice the size of what is considered theyr usual maximum size

Pretty cool, can't imagine what's like see an over 12 tons elephant (a giant shot in the 70s) walking around, when a an animal that look like this
Africa's%20largest%20-%20African%20elephant.jpg

main-qimg-77bbf3287782562525307122d578e4e3-c

is probably "just" 5 to 6 tons, imagine a 12+ one lol

So when we speak of "sea monsters" instead chase legends and photoshops, i imagine how cool must be see in real life the very largest specimen of actual existing animals like

I thought a Giant Octopus is about 10 feet or so. Where is it sourced they grow to 30+ feet?

Well, in that case, then you better get to penning that letter to set them straight. Oh, and don't forget to let them know that they're all retards over there at the NOAA, who know nothing about ocean exploration compared to sherdog poster jclownshoes.
{<jordan}

Annnnd stillllllll my source > you.

Lol why don't you find that peer reviewed study?

Did you actually look at that map? Well over 5% of ito ocean has been surveyed according to that document. This map says the exact opposite of the claim that only 5% of our oceans have been explored.

So thank you for proving my point.

Where are you getting those numbers from?

Fixed it for you.

Okay that's enough for me now. I've had my fill picking on ol' low-hanging-fruit-jgarner. Thanks for the memories!

I wish I could live in the same delusional world you live in.

Talking about memories... Remember when you admitted that you believe in ancient aliens in Egypt?

Having you and your buddies talk shit to me is like being made fun of by the special education room. Have your fun and pretend like youre winning all you want, but we both know the truth.

Where are you getting those numbers from?

Those numbers are from the original claim that I disputed. Someone said that 95% of the oceans are still unexplored and I said I don't believe that's true and asked for a peer reviewed study to substantiate that claim. That's when Bear decided that I think the entire organisation is a bunch of retards and that I think I know more than science or whatever stupid shit he claimed.

So we have the same question actually. Where are people getting this 95% of the ocean is unexplored number? From all the various fishing, exploring, surveying, and diving expeditions I think the number is completely wrong. We've seen most of our oceans and there's not likely much left hiding from us.

Lol why don't you find that peer reviewed study?

I'd rather wait for the reply you get from that letter. Lmao.

Where are you getting those numbers from?

Jclownshoes doesn't realize that the lines on that map decrease in the area they cover as one zooms. He also doesn't realize that fishing, surveying by sonar and such, and actual eyes on exploration are not the same thing. Just let him think he knows more about ocean exploration than the NOAA, and have yourself a good lol.

He didn't do that. We did it because we wanted to.
You know that's the thing. If he would actually just post a reasonable (non-douchebag) response or no response at all, he wouldn't have half the trouble he gets. I've seen everyone from the war room, berry, and mods bash him. He's constantly put up for vote as sherdog's worst poster every time it comes up in a poll thread.

I would say a majority of the time I would give reasonable responses, if I didn't have to navigate posts full of landmines from people who rather post weak little pop-shots then actually use their brain to think. People like jgarner aren't skeptics, their flat out denialists. Always *claiming* or trying to hide their lack of intelligence under the *claim* that *they* believe in scientific theory, but never actually using it because they never attempt to measure or test the other claim, theory or subject matter.

ffs the guy is taking a shit on NOAA because he doesn't like what he's hearing or reading. You can't reason with idiots who already have the answers predetermined regardless of what maybe provided to them. Yet he's *winning* lol (Just goes to further show how insecure he is. This thread was about conjecture of Lake Monsters but to him its all about winning! Winning what though? there's literally noting to win in a thread that has no objective to win but simply have discourse on hypotheticals)

The dude is literally as nuts as he is insecure. If there was anything to win in this thread, then he definitely did that by looking like a complete try hard.

Definitely no such thing as lake "Monsters." not like the way most people think anyway. However there are most definitely monster species of fish swimming around in our rivers/lakes. Humongous catfish, gar, snake head, carp, sturgeon, all exist.

I have no doubt there are fish much larger than these living in our lakes and rivers. Once a fish like these reach a certain age, the chances of them being caught goes down. I know around where I live, they are predicting a huge increase in alligator gar population and size due to the amount of rain and flooding the last 3-4 years.

These are all freshwater fish, I wonder what kind of goliaths are swimming around at the bottom of the oceans?

I’ve seen gigantic gar swimming around in the swamp.

Like look next to the boat and they are almost the same length. 17+’
