I find I can't widdle the list down to one song very often when asked "What's your favorite song?", usually I'm spinning atleast 5 or more songs at once that are particularly special to me.

Anyone else find this?

I currently have 6 though, couldn't widdle it down all the way 5, but I went with that number because I figured it'd be easier to answer:

1. Meat Loaf - I'd Do Anything For Love(loved it since before I reached puberty)

2. Gustav Holst - Mars, Bringer of War

3. Gustav Holst - Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity

4. Guthrie Govan - Waves

5. Andy Timmons - Cry For You

6. Dream Theater - Strange Deja Vu

How about you?

1. State of Love and Trust by Pearl Jam

2. Homecoming by Kanye West

3. Hybrid Moments by Misfits

4. Story of My Life by Social Distortion

5. Solo by Frank Ocean

Kinda on a nostalgia song kick lately.

Yellow Ledbetter-Pearl Jam
That's What They All Say-Local H
Float-Flogging Molly
Heaven and Hell-Black Sabbath
Bound for the Floor-Local H

Moonlight Sonata - Beethoven
Fields of Athenry - The Dubliners (and every other Irish folk group ever)
Fear of the Dark - Iron Maiden (the live performance from rock in Rio is best. Crowd participation actually makes the song better)
Adeste Fideles - Bing Crosby
Coming Home - Avenged Sevenfold

If I was asked to make this list again tomorrow, it may not have a single one of these songs on it. I like them all a lot, though, and they're what I thought of right now.

Mt. Abraxas - Uncle Acid and the deadbeats
Echoes - Pink Floyd
Sundance -Gov't Mule
Rotten Apple - Alice in Chains
Last Train Home - Pat Metheny

Yeah, I miss the 90's too man

I tried to make a really quick list, to avoid over-tinking it.

Lazy - Deep Purple
Breaking All The House Rules - Budgie
Albatross - Corrosion of Conformity
The Action is Go - Fu Manchu
Armchair Militia - Ozmonaut

Holy Shit, a shout out to fucking Budgie! Underrated as a band gets

And CoC, too! Albatross was my favorite of theirs!

Hey, Johnny Park! - Foo Fighters
Narcotic Sea - Saviours
Momentum - Truckfighters
Natural Rhapsody - Jonathan Wilson
Animals (YES, THE WHOLE DAMN ALBUM) - Pink Floyd

.....I had to go again

This is a hard one with my taste in music changing year after year even with Alice in Chains being my favorite band it's hard to put their songs into my top five especially when different genres come into the mix.

Amarillo by Morning - George Strait

(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay - Otis Redding

Whipping Post - The Allman Brothers Band

Texas Flood - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Dreamer - Tommy Bolin

Shakedown Street, Grateful Dead, 12-26-79

This Day We Fight!, Megadeth

Variations on the Carlos Santana Secret Chord Progression, Frank Zappa

Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Iron Maiden

Great Wall of China, Dead Kennedys

Ghost - From the Pinnacle to the Pit / He IS
Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss
Van Halen - Mean Street / D.o.A.
Iron Maiden - Tailgunner live
Blues Image - Ride Captain Ride
Mason Profit - Two Hangmen

Genesis - Abacab
Magna Carta Cartel - Demon King
Dead Can Dance - Carnivale is Over
Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill

This is really difficult.

Off He Goes -- Pearl Jam
Green Grass and High Tides -- The Outlaws
Whipping Post -- Allman Brothers
Angeles -- Elliott Smith
The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down -- The Band.

Probably my most used breakup song.

It always changes but atm
1. Brian Fallon - Little Nightmares. Sums up my life the past month or so.

2. Brian Fallon - Neptune. Amazing groove and reminds of a Springsteen song (no surprise).

3. Ranicd - Telegraph Ave. What can you say? It's classic Rancid and is about as good as it gets and been in the top 5 for almost a year now.

4. Pearl Jam - Black. Came back in to regular rotation in the past month as it is relevant to my situation

5. Get Dead - Monte Carlo - just basically my youth put too words and music. I can relate. "Skateboards and 40oz bottles . . . So broke, so poor. So we lived for everything they couldn't take"
