International The U.K wants to ban Donald Trump for saying they're trying to disguise their massive Muslim problem

Donald Trump's statements about what's happening in the U.K and Germany is...

  • Absolutely true!

  • Completely false!

Big LOL at the landslide in the poll. Bigger LOL at those that voted "Completely false!".

After seeing the reaction to a muslim woman in a Trump rally today.....I can really see the comparison with Hitler. Before Hitler got in power he did use the exact same language about Jews and created hostile environment for them so people turned on them. Just like Trump said Syrian refugees are affiliated with ISIS.....this kind of language is really unhealthy.

Islam is really unhealthy, Trump knows better. Ayaan Hirsi even said Trump is not wrong on this issue...Say whatever but the truth is it is a huge risk dealing with Migrants from Islamic countries..A huge risk with no real reward.

US President Donald Trump will visit the UK in mid-July
UK, Wednesday 25 April 2018

skynews-donald-trump-theresa-may_4292319.jpg

The visit, the US President's first to the UK since he was elected in 2016, is likely to prompt protests.

Sky's senior political correspondent Beth Rigby revealed that a full announcement is expected in the next day or so.

Mr Trump was due to open the new US Embassy in London in February but cancelled the trip saying the building was too expensive and tweeting that he was not a "big fan" of the decision to move its location.

It has been reported that he told Prime Minister Theresa May at the World Economic Forum in Davos earlier this year that he would visit the UK this summer.

It would be Mr Trump's first trip to this country since he was elected in November 2016.

Mrs May invited him for a state visit when she travelled to the White House in January 2017.

The controversies of Mr Trump's presidency have already put paid to plans for the procession up the Mall and a state banquet amid warnings of mass protests on the streets.

More than 1.8 million Britons signed a petition demanding that the President be prevented from making a state visit to the UK.

The July trip would likely be a lower-key working visit.

Speaking days ago, London Mayor Sadiq Khan said that if Mr Trump does visit, he should expect peaceful protests in the British capital.

Sadiq Khan says Mr Trump should expect peaceful protests

Mr Khan, who has repeatedly clashed with the US President since they were both elected roughly two years ago, told the Press Association: "We have got a great history in our city of protests.

"We have got a great history in our city of bringing about change by protest, the key thing is for it to be lawful, for it to be peaceful.

I have no doubt that if he does come, there will be some people who want to express their views loudly and peacefully to the President."

Mr Trump is currently hosting French President Emmanuel Macron in Washington DC where he has hailed the "great relationship" between the US and France.

Protesters vow to 'take to the streets' and disrupt Donald Trump's visit to Britain on July 13 in what could be the biggest demonstrations the UK has ever seen

By James Tapsfield and Kate Ferguson | 26 April 2018

Protesters today vowed to disrupt Donald Trump's visit to Britain on July 13 with mas protests.

The US President will come to the UK for talks with Theresa May after travelling to Europe for a NATO summit.

The confirmation of the working trip - which will not have all the pomp and ceremony of a state visit - comes after months of difficult wrangling between the White House and Downing Street over the plans.

But it sparked immediate threats of protest as activists said they would 'take to the streets' to vent their fury at his visit.

Jeremy Corbyn-backing activist and commentator Owen Jones took to Facebook to urge Britons to join mass demonstrations against the visit.

Writing on the 'Protest Trump's Visit' Facebook group - which has over 100,000 people interested in it, he wrote: 'It's official; Donald Trump is visiting the UK on 13th July.

'Everyone out on the streets! Invite everyone you know to this event.'

Police have been bracing themselves for what could be the biggest protests the country has seen.

And the Lib Dems vowed to join the demonstrations, with their deputy party leader Jo Swinson saying: 'The Government has made the right decision to cancel Trump's state visit, but this scaled down trip must not be met with scaled down protests.

'Protesting against a man with dangerous, misogynistic and racist views is our responsibility.

'It is our opportunity to stand in solidarity with all the people he has abused and denigrated.

'When he comes to the UK the Liberal Democrats will be front and centre of the protests.'

Announcing the visit today, the PM's spokesman said this evening: 'The President of the United States will visit the UK on July 13.

'He will hold bilateral talks with the Prime Minister during his visit. Further details will be set out in due course.'

Ministers will be hoping that the fact Mr Trump is coming on Friday 13th is not an unlucky omen.

Boris Johnson tweeted his excitement at the visit, writing: 'Fantastic news that President Donald Trump will at last come to Britain on 13 July. Looking forward to seeing our closest ally and friend on the greatest visit ever.'

The details of the itinerary for the trip have yet to be released.

There has been speculation that the talks with Mrs May will take place at her Chequers country retreat rather than Downing Street.

Mr Trump could also meet the Queen or other senior members of the Royal Family, even though it is not a state visit.

Officials will be keen to roll out the red carpet while also minimising the prospect of protests.

The President is expected to attend the Nato summit in Brussels on July 11 and 12 and travel on to the UK afterwards.

Some Tory MPs were jubilant at the news. Backbencher Nigel Evans told MailOnline: 'I am really pleased he is coming particularly so soon after Macron's red carpet treatment in Washington.

'We should never take the Special Relationship for granted. We know the Left are going to be fuming that he is coming to the UK.

'It is pathetic. The fact is that these are the same people who cheered Obama when he said before the EU referendum that we would be at the back of the queue for a trade deal.

'Trump is a man who loves the UK.'

In a sign of the stormy reception Mr Trump could face, Amnesty International spokeswoman Kate Allen said: 'When Donald Trump arrives on these shores, we and thousands of our supporters will very definitely be making our voices heard.

'In the 15 months of his presidency, we've seen a deeply disturbing human rights roll-back - including the discriminatory travel ban, his reckless announcement on Jerusalem, and harmful policies on refugees, women's rights and climate change.'

Mr Trump's visit to Britain, which was first mooted when he took office in January last year, has suffered repeated cancellations and delays.

He was due to come to the UK in February to open the new US embassy in London. But the White House went cold on the idea and cancelled at the last moment.

The Prime Minister was among the first foreign leaders to visit the White House. However, since then, the relationship between the leaders has suffered turbulent moments.

They clashed last year over Mr Trump's tweets sharing anti-Muslim propaganda from a far-Right group called Britain First.

The President also had a run-in with London Mayor Sadiq Khan over the terror threat to the capital.

The new dates for a so-called working visit will be a boost to Mrs May and a sign that relations between Downing Street and the White House have improved.

The two leaders spoke repeatedly and at length earlier this month as they discussed their response to the chemical weapons attacks on Douma in Syria.

British fighter jets joined the US and France in carrying out bombing raids on regime military targets.

There is still no fixed date for an official state visit, which was offered by Mrs May when she visited Washington in January last year.

Mr Trump has developed close ties with Emmanuel Macron of France.

He was invited to be guest of honour at the Bastille Day celebrations last year, when his 24-hour visit was topped off with a military parade.

He and his wife Melania dined with the French President and his wife Brigitte at the Eiffel Tower.

UK diplomats have become concerned about the French stealing a march on relations with the US.

This week Mr Trump hosted President Macron, the first state visit by a foreign leader since he entered the White House.

Ministers have discussed plans for Mr Trump to meet the Queen at Balmoral Castle before visiting one of his two golf courses in Aberdeenshire and Ayrshire.

Officials believe using the Royal Family's remote estate would prevent embarrassing scenes where he is confronted by thousands of demonstrators.

Mr Trump is said to have expressed an interest in playing a round of golf at the Queen's nine-hole course at the Aberdeenshire castle.

The President had been due to open the new £1billion US embassy at Nine Elms in south London in February.

He said he had dropped the visit because the old embassy in Mayfair had been sold on the cheap.

Jeremy Corbyn has said Mr Trump should not be invited and urged his followers to turn out in force if the US President visited the UK – to send him a 'clear message'.

More than a million people signed a petition last year calling for the state visit to be cancelled.

Ridiculous, America has never been anything but a friend to the UK. How lost are you people to protest a visit from your greatest ally?

Voted no...they don’t have a “Muslim” problem, they have a problem with themselves and their inability to be stern in their demand that new immigrants integrate into their society.

Err, that's exactly what he's saying.

Did you even read the OP?

I did read it but not the links. i saw him say it’s the migrants/muslims faults and the quote where he defends wanting to ban Muslim immigration. my no vote is half in jest, and the other half is basically semantics but I do think it’s a weak bandaid bubble-boy solution to say stop immigration or blame the immigrants for being shitty. Let them in but force the terms of their entry. Take a stand. I see it as an English/German problem and not a Muslim problem.

If he’s said something similar and I missed it then my bad.

U.K. drag queens plan to protest Donald Trump’s upcoming visit this summer

Drag queens at London Pride

When Donald Trump visits the United Kingdom later this summer, he’s going to be welcomed by a throng of protesting drag queens.

Several U.K. drag performers have organized a march in London to protest Trump’s visit to the United Kingdom, citing their opposition to many of his LGBTQ-related policies, from his rescinding of guidance to protect transgender schoolchildren to his proposed ban on transgender military personnel to the censoring of LGBTQ health information on federal websites.

“Due to the appalling way the Trump administration has regarded the rights and welfare of LGBTQI communities of the US, the idea of a Trump visit to the UK is unacceptable,” the Facebook page for the protest reads. “Let’s get visible, stand with our sisters, brothers and others in America, and show that we are a country that celebrates diversity.”

Cheddar Gorgeous, one of the drag queens who’s one of the event’s chief organizers, wrote an op-ed in The Guardian explaining the reason for the protest, which is scheduled for July 13.

More than 1,000 people have indicated that they will be attending, and more than 7,000 are interested in attending.

Must be doing something right if these people don’t want you around.

I tell you what, the moment a war starts or any sort of conflict every cunt in this god forsaken dump waits for Americas involvement and lets them take action and now you wanna act like this?

Sending pink poofs to the streets? We are so dead when war starts lol it's hilarious, we are the joke of the world.

You Americans should just cut contact now, we are like that unstable booty call you could easily live without.

Oh and if we got bombed by Russia just say 'well, we weren't welcome'

The whole this new group of immigrants won't want to integrate into our society argument is just silly fear mongering.

Good few wants this racist to come to UK. That may go over fine in the states for now but rest of the world is evolving.

And no out greatest ally is no UK it's Saudi Arabia where our presidents prostrate themselves to the brutal regime which is basically ISIS with US arms and support (or do I repeat myself hehe). And Israel another rouge state.

I'm sure this fabulous protest will spawn countless threads in the WR in July. And perhaps a few in the Mayberry lounge too.

Well I hope they ban him and the U.K. does also.

Then it would be hilarious if he became president to see the reaction then.

Maybe Trump could do some good by shutting down all the US military bases in those countries.

At least that could save us some money.
Woukd be great to pull our airforce base out of England. Germany too. Let nato lie down for Russia on their own. If an invasion happened we'll go, but propping up those spineless euros is aggravating imho

There are also a great deal of people here in the UK that actually like Trump.

They are typically on the opposite spectrum of our media however, and generally do not live in London.
