So grapplers can push us against the cage to establish position but we cant use the cage to prevent takedowns? Seems very biased towards the grappler right? Wrestlers are protected by that and lack of soccer kicks and knees to downed opponents imo.

I agree. You say "push us" are you a fighter?

How about you learn to grapple if you want to be a high-level fighter. Problem solved.

Cage makes it easier for strikers actually. Try getting up from the bottom in a ring. It actually requires learning BJJ. Cage is much easier to get up and defend takedowns. The only thing that sucks about it is the wall n stall hugging.

I was literally just thinking earlier that it's ridiculous you cant grab it to stand up. (Was rewatching Khabib McG)

Dont think you should be allowed to grab it while being taken down though due to possible injuries from grabbing.

It's also biased against grapplers that they can't knee opponents on the ground. Knees from side control or front headlock position would be way more effective than anything strikers are restricted to do.

Pride ring was better for strikers, its harder to get trapped against. Grabbing the cage is stupid though you just end up with Tank Abbot vs Paul Varelans situations.

Im totally with you, also knees on the ground wont give fighter on the ground a chance to stall, its a stupid rule.

Us? You are definitely not a fighter so why say us?

If a grappler pushes you up against the cage you should be allowed to call in a teammate with a folding chair

The whole unified rules are made for americans and their shitty stall-wrestling.

You're supposed to have the skill to prevent a takedown. Grabbing a cage is something a person without skill will do

Pushing is fine. Grabbing is not. Someone gets their fingers jammed and torn in it isn’t a good sight. People are also neglecting the small gap between cage and mat
