Anderson Silva's record vs Mousasi's record

Well aware of that. But I want to know your opinion about the quality of their opponents.

Same for D'z
Silva had 10 UFC title defenses

Moose has no title bouts, wins or defenses in the UFC.

That pretty much explains it. I like Moose and I wish he could of stayed in the UFC. I think eventually he would of won the MW title.

Lol @ Soko being on there.

Unpopular opinion: having a title means nothing. Styles make fights. Who you've beat and how you beat them matter the most. Honestly, Gegard has way better wins than Anderson. Gegard at his best would have beat every single fighter Anderson Silva fought during his middleweight title reign and he wouldn't have lost to Weidman.

But he lost to Uriah Hall, Machida and Jacare allegedly during his prime. You're suggesting a prime Silva would have lost to the aforementioned trio?

It's close enough that Moose may surpass Anderson with just a few more wins. Rory being a good start.
Come on man you've got to be trolling, beat a puffed up WW is a good win. Bet if he beats an over the hill Machida you'll be frothing.

Both resumes are impressive as far as who they have beat but you really have to consider the stakes.

Silva consistently dominated with the gold belt on the line, dismantling fools one after an other. Moose struggled in there and showed holes when it counted and the stakes increased for him (although he has many other belts).

Silva winning under these high stake conditions (belt on line) made him way more money, is way more popular, and will remain in the eyes of many as the better of the two.

Mousasi is the real deal and underrated but hes not Anderson Silva. Andersons losses have also come at the begining and end of his career. Mousasi lost to elite competition in the middle of his career, Anderson never did.

Yeah, fighting is easy unless a fancy clothing accessory is on the line. Mousasi doesn’t have that kind of mental fortitude to be a real dominant champion, like say Joanna Jedrzesczyk

Uriah Hall was a fluke KO. Hall is also a better striker than most Anderson fought. Pre USADA Machida could have beat Anderson and is better than everyone Anderson fought. Jacare would have beaten prime Anderson easily imo. Jacare would be one of the best strikers Anderson would have fought and would be by far the best grappler he has ever fought. Jacare probably wins by sub in the first round.

Also, with your argument you can say Anderson lost to Daiju Takase and Ryo Chonan. Would Mousasi have lost to Ryo Chonan and Daiju Takase? Also Mousasi is just now reaching his prime imo. His striking and TDD is at it's sharpest.

I'm more just looking at Gegard's overall career. Beating Carvalho and MacDonald were solid additions to what was already an impressive 50+ fight career.

Mousasi is fighting in a much tougher MW era that’s for sure. And Anderson lost to some horrible fighters. One failed a test as well, due to “dick pills” and “tainted supplements”. Mousasi was on a good streak in the UFC but never got the belt. Anderson has that over him. As of now the filthy masses will remember Anderson more

Beaten prime Anderson easily? Come on man you're massively underestimating how dominant Silva was at his best. Hall is not a better striker than Griffin, Henderson, TRT vitor, Rick Franklin. Did you watch MMA when Silva was at his peak? Man was in the matrix.

Interesting point. Surely then it's a giant waste of his 'prime' that's he's beating chumps and puffed up WW in Bellator not facing the best MWs in the world. Plus didn't he recently do an interview suggesting he only planned to have 3-4 more fights than retire?
