being accused of ducking for not fighting outside your normal weight class is as worthless as tits on a bull.

"Khabib should quit ducking Woodley"

"GSP ducked Anderson for years"

"Jones ducked HW his whole career" (and I absolutely despise Jones)

DUCKING is when you avoid people in your own weight class. for example, Conor at 155 lbs.

People forget that the motherfucker in the weight class up cuts weight too. Anyone that make this kind of bogus claim is a complete tool and should be treated as such.

When you barely make weight...go to the hospital....get fights canceled and have seizures, your ducking a weight class.

It's not about being a "manlet", it's about not being stupid wrt expectations

When the GOATs of 2 weight classes and current number 1 and 2 p4p are fighting in their primes, and they are only separated by 15 lbs, and one fighter refuses to fight the other, that's ducking.

I agree for the most part but in some like Ronda who fought at 145lbs then said she was only going to 135lbs to beat Miesha then fight Cyborg after as the fight would be bigger but refused to do is ducking. If you have no intention don't mention it, all it does is hurt your legacy when you never attempted to make the fight you "wanted".

Also GSP saying Anderson was too big and he wasn't a real middleweight then fighting the weakest champion the weightclass has had since Tanner is pretty much admitting he avoided the Anderson fight. Ain't like Silva any bigger then Bisping.

Each case is different.

Yes unless the guy challenging you is a weight lower

No, it's not.

There are weight divisions for a reason, and on the few occasions guys in the top five P4P have fought, the smaller guy has been curb stomped, with one exception.

If you spent the beginning of your career at a certain weight and then moved down, you went down in weight for a reason. IE, Ronda.

Anderson ducked Jones.

You have obviously never competed in anything where weight is a big advantage.15 pounds is huge.Do you see wrestlers jumping up 15 lbs (three weight classes in some cases) ?Boxers?Very very very rarely. What a stupid post.

Ronda was obviously a high level judoka. In Judo it's generally a totally different body as opposed to mma,it's pure explosiveness in spurts, weight distribution, heavy base etc. similar to wrestling except wrestlers tend to not carry as much extra weight due to judo needing less cardio,so they are almost all heavier than they would be in mma.Rousey for example competed at 155 lbs.I'm not sure what your point is,if you're saying she moved down because it was a natural move as she got in better shape or if you're implying she moved down to avoid Cyborg.Either or she went to the division she belonged in after gearing her body and training to adapt to a new sport.

Who the fuck is saying that Khabib is ducking Woodley?

Anyway, the Jones HW ducking shit is probably the one unjustified criticism that he's still subjected to. He's never even had a rough weight cut. If it comes out that Jones has been using diuretics to help cutting his entire career, then it's a different story.

Lol Mighty Mouse, pretty much the tiniest dude on the roaster, was accused of ducking 135 forever.

Fair enough. But how about this, GSP says he only wants big fights but he turned down the biggest fight of all time for like 5 years running.
