So, Fedor Fights for His UFC Legacy...This Saturday

Mitrione sucks.
Hendo is old as shit. (Still love him though)

Mitrione wasn't "past" his prime lol wtf.

And Hendo when he fought Fedor was on his mythical TRT run. He was literally at the peak of his fighting career when he fought Fedor.

Mitrione is not that good. He has 0 ground game. Chiek freakinh kongo lnp him for Christ sakes. Kongo couldnt make it in the UFC. Mitrione found better success in bellator until he ran into a real fighter.....BADER.
hendo is old. Despite trt he became very limited and could really only strike in his late part of his carreer. Hendo is no wjere near the same fighter he once was, even when he fought fedor.

Mitrione was 38 or 39 when he fought Fedor. Would be bizarre if he wasn't past his prime, guy has had two athletic careers worth of injuries and general wear and tear.

I'm replying to the guy who started the thread. You also know i am right.
We are talking about 2019 in case you didn't know not when fedor wad in his prime 40 years ago. Your sarcasm sucks.

I will then correct your reply: "Past prime Fedor beat past prime UFC guys, and also LOST to past prime UFC guys"

He had only 16 pro MMA fights, IIRC, when he fought Fedor.

GOAT.

As for Dana,

Yes, but that doesn’t entail physical prime. He had serious injuries in football. A late mma start doesn’t erase previous athletic careers.

Agreed. But MMA mileage is different, IMHO. When you have 40 MMA wars over 2 decades, it's fair to say your body will not be in prime condition anymore. I don't think Mitrione has half the wear and tear Fedor has had.

was 5-2 in the past couple years before the fight with 5 KO finishes. Not sure he was past his prime, but whatever floats your boat bud

-Never fought in the UFC
-Fights for his UFC legacy
Seems legit

2019 UFC Fighters Already defeated...

Sonnen
Mir
Nelson

Mitrione

Weird...Dana said Fedor was a bum and didn't belong..?

4. August 15, 2004: No contest (accidental cut) vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
5. December 31, 2004: Unanimous decision win over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
6. October 21, 2006: Second-round submission (arm bar) win over Mark Coleman

If only he fought them in their prime (besides Nog, who hasn't been the ufc champ by then). So your premise is misleading. Should at least say former OR future UFC champs.

If Fedor was getting out-grappled by Mitrione you might have a point, but as it stands, Mitrione didn't beat him with his ground game, and almost all of his wins are by either ko or tko - which brings up a very important point - despite the fact that Mitrione is average at best, he competes in a weight class where one tiny mistake could cost you the entire fight. That's why you don't see heavyweights commonly stringing consistent wins together, and it's also why despite the fact that Fedor had a lot of 'cans' on his record, the fact that he went 10 years without losing so much as a round is pretty incredible, especially considering how often he was fighting. One slip and it's lights out at HW, can or not.

LOL, you so desperately reach for anything to discredit Fedor.
Your GSP nuthuggery dictates what you eat for breakfast as well?
Amazing, kid.
Your mind is a one-side track head.
Bash and demean what anyone does, so in your mind, you can justify your idolatry for GSP.

That just points to your own insecurity, kid.

Fact. Fedor fought and beat 8 UFC champions.
Deal with it.

Love those join dates.

He doesn't have a UFC legacy nor does he care for one.

His management and Uncle Dana couldn't reach an agreement. That's all.
Correct. That's it

The only 'past prime' UFC guy you could argue he lost to was Mitrione. Then again I don't even know when Mitrione's 'prime' was - in his athletic prime he was Green as fuck, as he became more of a veteran he became old.

Fedor now is well over a decade past his 'peak' - probably 15 years past TBH
