The Olympics are based upon representing one’s country. When the fighters are introduced, their country of origin is one of the first things noted, and fighters routinely come out with the flag of that country.

You may find that all a bit strange. But this certainly isn’t something new to Gaethje.

It’s fun to invest extra meaning in our activities. Gaethje invested a little extra meaning in this fight by repping the US versus Brazil.

Yep. And don’t think for a second that it’s out of a sense of concern for anyone potentially wronged by said racism. It’s purely out of a sense of “look at me, I’m so virtuous.”
