he was on the radio promoting his stand up special and was asked what was your highest payday in ufc and he said I make more in a month now podcasting on youtube and stand up than I did in the UFC.

So he is making six figures im guessing? at least 300k a month? He keeps buying expensive sports cars and ugly named brand clothing and shoes like those shoes that cost him like 2 grand so Im guessing he is making bank.

It's all that porn money!

Did he actually say what his biggest payday in the UFC was? Would be interesting to know.

Don’t think he makes 300k a month. Even six figures I doubt.

I heard his special is beyond hilarious though.

going by your post he makes more in a month than any single ufc payday, not in his entire career

fake news/illiterate TS

dunno, but I do know he said he cleared over 100k with sponsors in a fight

Brendan always had his hustle. I remember when Dana called him out and said there was no way he made six figures from his sponsors per fight and he made him look stupid. I think Joe Silva even said something about Brendan actually making that much.

I'm not a fan of him, but there's no way I can deny him his props. I have a ton of respect and admiration for anyone who has found true success by working their asses off to do so. I believe him and more power to him; the dude made it.

no, but he was fighting at a time when guys were getting like 20k a fight, I think his biggest payday was 50k to Wasnt he getting like 10 to show and 10 to win and like 75k was his biggest payday and then a fighter bonus?

People can hate but the dude made something of himself, something a lot of people on here wouldn’t be able to do.

yup, he didnt like that Reebok deal for fighters and rightfully so most fighters were making big money off their sponsor banners.

Josh Koshcheck always comes to mind, he had over 100k in sponsors on his banner

Schaub seems like the kind of guy who doesn't really have the talent but makes things work for himself by putting himself out there and never saying "No". Somehow he's always landing on his feet.

His success is a complete mystery to me. Maybe he's too dumb to have the kind of filter and critical introspection which keeps most people from trying new things. Maybe he's smarter than I think. In any case, it seems to be working for him. Good for him.

Schaub goes for things and I respect it. That being said he is a sub-par analyst, comedian, and host. His real value is in his ability to befriend the fighters and get some good interviews. I love his food truck series, but whenever I watch tfatk I just wish he wasn't there.

Let this be a positive lesson for everyone.

You can be mediocre at something, and people will pay you well for being mediocre. There's hope out there.

Fair play he’s an absolute hustler and he basically did what all the inspirational Instagram memes say to do

Work hard as fuck
Surround yourself with people that push you

Being friends with Callen and Joe definitely helped

What does he mean by “stand up”?

Is he including that one time only cable tv special that tanked? I’d be curious to know, because a one time gig could throw off these figures he’s talking about.

Do I blame the guy for his career choice?
Not one bit.

Do we have to like or respect the guy?
Nope.
