8 through 16 would be Shogun,Shad,Rampage,Joe B,Aldo, Gus, DC, Werdum and Hendo. Really hard to put any of those guys above the other. Aldo was probably higher last time I made this sort of list but hey last time would be before Max lost to Dustin and Aldo lost to Volk. Both those events hurt Aldo's stature in this discussion IMO. Probably had Holloway higher as well.
I agree with your top 5 in that order. I think after the first 5, it's really hard to discern. For instance, I think Aldo (not on your list) is way better and accomplished more than BJ Penn, but Penn was a maverick and the best lightweight prior to Edgar.1) Jones
2) Fedor
3) GSP
4) Silva
5) MM
6) Hughes
7) D.C.
8) Wandy
9) Big Nog
10) Penn
He has a ton of losses, but I won't doubt his greatness. He's a HoF for sure.surprised not to see randy couture on the list of most after winning the heavyweight championship twice and the light heavyweight championship despite his age.
I forgot him on my list.I seriously hope you're joking about Weidman, but I don't think you are lol
My list:
1. GSP
2. Jones
3. Fedor
4. Mighty Mouse
5. Silva
6. Cormier
7. Cruz
8. Aldo
9. Hughes
10. Sakuraba
Honorable mentions go to BJ, Holloway, Edgar, Shogun
Edit: Forgot Hendo, he should be at #10 behind Hughes
Why is Jones always the big bad cheater and not the GOAT while Silva is some innocent man who did steroids only because he got injured? Silva is as big a cheater as Jones but doesn't even get half as much flak as Jones. Nobody questions his MW GOAT status but when it comes to Jones, all his accomplishments are null and void. Biggest double standard on sherdog imo.Gsp for his outstanding record
Gsp for his impeccable conduct
Gsp for his successful comeback
Fedor for his unbeaten decade
DC for his record (only lost to one cheating man)
Silva for his mastery (but now should retire)
Khabib for his total dominance (so far)
Conor for his titles run (starching Aldo and everyone in his way)
Jones for his total dominance (would be second without the peds tainting his whole legacy)

Where would you put Randy Coutre?
