Crime De’Von Bailey police shooting. Edit: settlement of 3 million reached.

People will cry over any police shooting involving a black man, no matter how justifiable it may be.

Dude was running away while reaching for a weapon, the fuck did he expect was gonna happen?

He was shot in the back?.... eeeeehhhhhhh

My understanding is MOST agencies try to train officers to catch a dude if they're running. Get dogs or have someone in another patrol car pull in front of the guy so they run into the side of a car or something. I get he may have been armed but he was shot in the back...

Like, some of my best friends are LEO or involved in the justice system as like jail guards and shit but this one... unless it looked like he was about to turn and point I don't see why shooting him in the back is justified.

The shooting was more than justified. The victim who called the cops on De'Von and his friend claimed he was robbed by the two men, and that De'Von was armed while the robbery occurred. The officers show up, ask if they have any weapons before they pat them down, and De'Von's friend blatantly gives him a look that makes it obvious he's hiding something (watch the body cam footage).

De'Von runs before the second officer gets within arm reach and immediately reaches for his waist. Now, its already suspected the dude has a gun. It would have taken him no time at all to turn around and immediately open fire on the pursuing officers. Both officers felt their lives were in danger and acted accordingly. Turns out he did indeed have a weapon, and it was a probably a good thing they acted when they did.

Good shoot on this bad guy.

What bugs the shit outta me is this thinking that resistors can use more force than police.

That's ass backwards.

Resist arrest, get subdued the hard way.

Even though most of us can see that this guy was indeed a threat to the community and a piece of shit to boot, it will not change the opinions and angry protest mobs from saying this turd’s name along with many other outstanding pillars of the community killed by police. There are few on that list that I believe belong there. That’s not saying that I believe all of the officer involved shootings are justified, I am simply saying that people only want to come together when the police are the ones pulling the trigger no matter how big a piece of shit the deceased was. Were it anyone other than an officer, no one outside the family, would ever give half a squirt over Devon Bailey.

VIDEO: Family Demands Justice After Cops Shoot Man Who Pointed Gun At Them

Sounds like justice was served.

The crime that needs to be investigated right now is the murder of an 18 year old in Fort Worth

He said his little brother was “a young black kid getting his act together” who had become a father the week before he died.

Malone’s older brother, Bonnell Juvi, said that his sibling didn’t carry a gun and that he doesn’t believe that he would be involved in a murder, KTVT reported.

He said his little brother was “a young black kid getting his act together” who had become a father the week before he died.

Juvi said police didn’t need to shoot Malone, KTVT reported.n

“Eventually, stuff like this has got to stop,” he said. “It’s just like an ongoing thing, like over and over and over. They keep pulling young people from out of the community.”

I guess you win. Your post had better action, s better shot, however my guy’s face plant was pretty good. Ok I am done being ignorant about the deceased. For now.

This Texas case is bananas. He pointed a gun at officers while the police officers while police enter for a murder:

So. I find the comments by the lawyer about only one murder matters-as in malone.

Tried to look up info on that shooting on that murder. The victim was Jawalon Gay, and when it is do s search for gay+shooting, I knew I was in trouble when only pornhub and x videos came up. I Was so disgusted that I immediately threw my phone across the room; butt not before i found out if that cute couple ever made it home for the holidays.

I read that story and I couldn't help but notice who the lawyer is: Lee Merritt, who is Shaun King's partner in defamation! He (along with his pal with Shaun King) has a history of defaming individual police officers and citizens with awful accusations of murder, rape, etc, only to be a proven liar when video evidence is released. It's happened so many times it's officially a pattern at this point--the guy simply can't be taken seriously anymore.

Of course this is apropos with the other thread about Shaun King's award from Rhiana. At least King managed to keep his mouth shut about this "murder." Lee Merritt, on the other hand, put his head in the sand and hasn't said a damn word since the video was released.

how can people post tweets and shit like this when there is a video of the piece of shit pointing his gun at the officer.

Holy shit, that is next level down syndrome.

He was shot in the back while running. I would say at that point he wasnt a threat, it is an unjustified shooting. Is there any evidence that he was a threat at that point?
The fact that he had a gun and was involved in an armed robbery?

I am far from one of the bootlickers on this forum and there are indeed many here. But I think advocates for police accountability should pick their battles carefully and I am not sure if this is a hill to die on. To be fair I am not well read on the intricacies of the law around the use of deadly force by police and perhaps this is legally a bad shot. If so I hope the cops face the music. But to me it seems to be far from the more egregious shots by police.

He actually posted that tweet before the video was released. But it shows how boldly dishonest the guy is willing to be when making accusations. He's done this SEVERAL times. And he hasn't said another word about this shooting since the video was released.
