Just goes to show you that American D1 and D2 wrestlers can't hold a handle to Khabib.



Russia doesn't have D1 and D2 for weirdo folkstyle-derivative wrestling.

American collegiate wrestling might as well be judo or whatever.

Khabib ragdolls D1 wrestlers in freestyle rules- the type that actually resemble MMA closer.
 
I think one should be careful with mma-math of any kind, but in this case it's kind of reasonable to assume that Khabib is the better wrestler.
 
Khabib got each and every TD he attempted stuffed by Tibau, and Tibau easily took Khabib down twice. Obviously Brazilian wrestling is the top of the heap.
 
These takedowns by Dos Anjos are at this natural weight class, 170. Would love to see Khabib test himself there after Ferguson... but why when he has the advantage at 155. Khabib could be like Cormier at 170... no huge weight cut, more strength and stamina... dude would be going for a ride. Champ-Champ!

D1 wrestling is meaningless in the Russian wrestling world


I want the Gillespie fight to happen so when Khabib throws him on his head and chokes him in the first round this dumb argument will be laid to rest
 
It would be better to just actually watch Khabib fight a D1 wrestler so we don’t have to play this little game.

HGH, Andro, and EPO can take you to the top a lot of things.
 
The Colby fight was extremely competitive

It was a 3-2 fight and alot of Colbys offense was just pressing RDA against the cage. RDA even hurt him at one point

Just goes to show how gureat RDA is..............yet Khabib shut him out completely 3-0

This makes no sense, Dos Anjos is a former 155lbs champ and is dwarfed by everyone at 170.
What advantage you mean Khabib have against Ferguson in 155? Ferguson is 1 inch taller and have 5 inches of advantage in reach.
 
Good shots on Lee and Colby. Lazy weak shot on Khabib. Not sayin he couldnt stuff it anyway.
 
If he beats tony I’d be inclined to call him the current top p4p and top 5 of all time

Just curious in what way freestyle is closer to MMA than folkstyle. In freestyle, your only objective on the bottom is to avoid being turned, whereas in folkstyle you are trying to escape or reverse position. Even if a variety of moves are essentially off limits in MMA due to the fact that giving up your back is a bad idea, it seems like folkstyle would have more applicability in MMA for the simple fact that it emphasizes a useful MMA skill, which is to be able to get back up after being taken down.

To be fair, that was the worse of the 3 shots because he tried simply grabbing the legs from far away it seemed. He gave Khabib an extra half second to react because he bent over, reached his arms out, THEN pushed forward
