Stephen or Rogan, who do you side with?

Smith. I feel like he was refreshingly honest. It's good to hear a pundit who isn't a UFC shill.

Holy shit.

I'm finally realizing what this is all about.

Stephen A completely ruined the fake narrative Joe and the UFC were trying to push...

It's hilarious the reaction has been to attack Stephen A for not knowing enough about MMA, even though his analysis has been spot on...

Stephen A "The guy who knows nothing about MMA" is giving better and more fair minded analysis than the "experts" who were only interested in promoting Conor, and not being objective, or honest about any other possible analysis.

It's actually fucking comical.

This is the fucking height of comedy....

We have fucking MMA fighters and MMA commentators asking for an aplogy, and not to be too tough on MMA fighters because they deserve a different level of sensitivity.

Holy fucking shit!

Welcome to the world of sports you giant babies....FYI, you will get colorful criticism for bad performances.

Rogan was right but he should have just kept his mouth shut, it wasn't very professional to say that

ESPN is worth over $50 billion. It's not a good idea to talk shit about their guys when the UFC recently entered into a breakthrough partnership with them

Stephens. Everybody here thinks Cowboy is a wilter/choke artist.
The question is, do you REALLY want all journalists/talking heads to shit on mma fighters like this forum does?

It's fucking hilarious this is even a question.

Joe Rogan is honestly trying to argue MMA fighters should be cleared from any criticism for bad performances, and giving negative criticism for horrible performances is a "BAD LOOK" for ESPN and sports commentary....

This is literally what he's fucking arguing.

I'm sorry but if anyone wants to actually fucking debate this just punch yourself in the genitals and call it a day.

Joe has made a total fool of himself, and so did Josh Thomson. They sounded like ignorant fucking babies who have no idea the scope of what their talking about is....

Both. Rogan is defending his good friend and a Stephen is doing his job They both have valid but different perspectives

Stephen A smith is right on. Rogan is the Manlet who cried speaking to ronda. Rogan is biased.

Rogan talking saying what he did about smith is like shit telling vomit that it stinks but Rogan is right. Smith has a long history of not knowing his ass from a hole in the ground yet still braying like a donkey about whatever.

Cowboy threw one blocked strike, got destroyed in less than a min, had a deer in the headlights look on his face... yea it really was that awful. Is it even hyperbole to say some bum from the audience would have done better?

Rogan was towing the company line... and salty because standing next the Smith he looks like fucking mini me...
I don't care one way or the other about Smith but in this context I agree we didn't learn anything we didn't already know about McGregor...

Smith was dead on with his analysis. Cerrone is a quitter and looked like a can in there. People joke about some of the Japanese cans that got wrecked by Wand in pride, but every single one of them put up a better fight than Cerrone does against top tier fighters.

And getting your ass handed to you like that is bad enough m, but the guy is all hugs and smiles after that shit performance? Fuck off, no samurai spirit, go commit harakiri after that embarrassment.
<DisgustingHHH>

I side with Rogan, Smith is ignorant, he wanted a longer fight and took the huff when he didn't get it, maybe he had money on it, whatever the reason he decided to try to humiliate a guy who's put it on the line his whole career, uncalled for and if he keeps it up it's the type of thing that might get him a slap sooner or later.

Not all fighters behave like you’re describing though. Do you think every fighter would’ve covered up like that? Or put in a performance like that... AGAIN? Because there’s a clear pattern with Cowboy.

not all fighters have the same chin, composure etc sure. But to call it "quitting" isn't accurate either.

Rogan. Cowboy didn't have time to quit. This wasn't some extended beating or getting hurt and having time to decide. This was a 40 second squash match.

Stephen, every other ranked guy in Cowboys weight class have beat him. Yet when Conor does it, it is some kind of monumental accomplishment. It's nice to see someone in main stream media call it how it is.

I agree but the main issue is cowboy not even trying. It looked bad even to a guy like Stephen who isnt a actual fan. Cowboy landed 0 strikes. Threw a whopping 1...got the clinch by lower his level...as if going for td...then just stood up. In the clinch..cowboy being a MT background fighter, had several options from there...trip td, MT clinch, various other TDs as well as many strikes that are broad and butter of MT style in the clinch. Didnt even try for the head plumb that MT fighters all use as second nature.

Joe isnt in a position to say anything that makes Conor or cowboy look bad on nation wide tv. He is a company man...not like Stephen who is also a company man. But for espn..not the ufc. Rogan always defends the ufc guys and tries to make them look better. It's his job. There is no way to make cowboy look better in this fight, because he did absolutely nothing, so the narrative became how great Conor was...conor is so great cowboy just had no answers for the deadly shoulder shrugs.

A 51 fight veteran had no answers for a semi one dimensional fighter who needed to win to stay relevant. Pair that with the new 6 fight money fight contract that cowboy announced fight week and it just looks really bad. Had he win, he would have definately got a 2nd fight with conor and 1 more huge payday. Instead he got 6 before the fight even took place, and had no incentive to win at all.

Rogan. Cowboy didn't have time to quit. This wasn't some extended beating or getting hurt and having time to decide. This was a 40 second squash match.
If only it was the first time he got squashed like that.

And after getting squashed he at least could have looked a little disappointed in himself instead of smiling and hugging his assailant like a clown who was happy enough with his pay day and participation trophy.
<{clintugh}>

SAS is annoying and they shouldn't have forced him into an MMA show but Joe was really unprofessional with his comments, like SAS said, that shit should have been said in private.

Who would ever side with a man looking like a lobster on steroids?
