oh dude he's a monster unlike any other at HW. I'm not saying he isn't a freak of a human, but he is definitely not a very technical fighter. He's getting better but he still relies on just brute force. I mean, look at some of the punches thrown in that combo, one was some clubbing downward looking punch lol. It was literally something Olenik threw vs Werdum. Not something you'd think a great "striker" would throw.

Still, one punch from him can end any technical fighters night. I just have a hard time believing even as awful as HW is, that someone won't figure out a way to get him down and make him look like a scrub again.

And I'm not gonna blow him and say he's the best HW ever but, Stipe and how good he is, is massively underrated here on Sherdog. Stipe is top of the food chain.

He literally looses by ko to smaller , short, smaller arms brawlers in kickboxing because he gets overwhelmed and yall think hes not going to be overwhelmed by Francis? I think Biggie Boi looks like a deer in headlights during a few moments of this fight whereas Ngannou is not going to be experiencing anything out of the ordinary besides maybe timing? even then the shit doesn't correlate to the highest levels as seen in Gokan Saki, Sammy Schilt, Joe Schilling, Cyril Diabete. Theres a different level of pressure when all you have to defend yourself are basically your hands in comparison to wielding two shields

I legitimately don't understand his power. His punching technique is fucking awful. And not even like "he's recklessly throwing bombs" but it doesn't seem like the mechanics of his punching should generate power.

Ngannou is scary in the octagon, but I always got the impression he is a big teddybear in person, he is a very calm person and a gentleman. I remember when he first came to UFC and his English was not very good and the guy asked him a question and Ngannou was like "Oh I am so sorry can you please repeat, thank you so much" He is scary but so gentle at the same time

Agreed, he seems like a nice dude. His power is crazy, but like the Stipe fight, guys who can blunt his power or take it will beat him. That was some sloppy ass technique and against a compact puncher he may have gotten slept.

It was awesome and savage but a decent counter puncher that isn't afraid to trade like a Prime Roy Nelson would take him out. His chin was up in the air begging to get checked. It was still badass but he will get caught eventually.
