Kharitonov was visiting his friend he met Adam Yandiev and his wife by coinsidence. Adam was beaten up, his jaw was broken and he could not properly speak. Adam told that he got in to a fight with some Chechen and now the police?/ or some1 else were searching for him. Kharitonov doesnt remember the facts very well since he got beaten up yesterday. Kharitonov feels bad for Adam and invites him and his wife to join him on the training trip to Thailand. Apparently he paid for the trip, flights and hotel. Kharitonov even bought Adam a leather bag as a gift.Kharitonov is good friends with Adam Yandiev´s brother for many years
  1. Kharitonov met Adam Yandiev first time after Yandiev´s brother asked Kharitonov to invite Adam to his fight. After this Kharitonov became friends with Adam aswell.

  1. After the trip ADam would call Kharitonov and ask him to lend him 200.000 rubles(on todays exchange rates around 2,5k USD). Kharitonov didnt have much money at the moment laying around so he took a loan from the bank to lend him the money.

  2. Next month Adam calls Kharitonov again and asks him to lend him 200.000 rubles again. This would go on for multiple months. Kharitonov is injured and has no money coming from fighting so he tells he is sorry, but cant afford lending him any more. In the end Adam was owing 1.000.000 rubles to Kharitonov, which is not too big of an amount to him, he refers to it as a normal amount :p. He didnt say whether he tried to collect the money at any point, but Adam had promised that he will pay him later.

  3. After a year or even more after Kharitonov had lend the money, Adam´s brother asks different celebrities and friends to film their birthday wishes to Adam. He also asks Kharitonov, but he refuses cause he is obviously annoyed that Adam is doesnt pay him back, but still posts instagram pictures of him flying private and living luxury life.

  4. Last year when Kharitonov was preparing to his fight with Matt Mitrione, Kharitonovs friend Max tells him a story of Adam. Max had given/lend 20k USD to Adam and his wife who was at that time giving birth. Also Max would lend 5k USD every month to Adam who was preparing for a fight, Im guessing to the canceled fight with Punahele Soriano at UFC. Max would lend 5k every month for five months until he told Adam he cant afford lending him any more money. surprise surprise, Adam never payed Max the money he owed to him.

  5. After his personal experience and his friend Max´s experience with Adam he went to tell his close friends about what has happened with Adam and warned them about lending him money.

  6. Kharitonov´s friend, who runs some gyms in Russia, one day calls him and asks what he thinks of Adam, cause they were about to make a sponsorship deal with him. Kharitonov is honest about Adam and tells his friend that Adam never payed him the money back. Apparently because of this the sponsorship deal with Adam fell through. Adam called Kharitonov and ask him why is he going around talking about him. Kharitonov told about how he never payed him nor Max back the money, to which Adam said that they sums were gifts and how Kharitonov was helping him and that he has no right to talk about the stuff... Kharitonov told Adam if he has honor he will pay him back, if not then not.

  7. All this lead to this incident and video u are seeing in this instagram post. Kharitonov and Adam were attending the same event/tournament and Adam asked Kharitonov to talk with him in private. Kharitonov thought that Adam had changed his mind and was planning to pay back the money. Once they were with each other Adam asked whether he owed Kharitonov money, to which Kharitonov replied that "Yes, you owe me money". After this Adam threw some insults and attacks Kharitonov. Adam broke Kharitonovs Orbital bone and u can see from the interview how his eye is swollen.

  8. Kharitonov says that Adam had planned the attack before hand and had his friend standing next to the door and one friend filming the incident.
This is rough translation of the interview. Also apparently Adam Yandaev is the son of the richest men in Ingushetia, but apparently against his fathers wishes he married his wife and thats why he doesnt have money? Kharitonov doesnt really talk about it deeply he just mentions it.

Kharitonov has pressed charges!

Special stipulation - the other guy's purse should be equal or more than the amount of his debt to Sergei. If he loses, the portion of the guy's purse that equals the debt goes to Sergei. If he wins, the debt is discharged. I'm serious.

Actually it does, you guys expect things to be fair in real life when real life isn't fair. It's not a sporting event, this was an issue between 2 people over money and you guys are expecting them to have full training camp, a referee, a timer, a crowd, a venue, etc. It's a street fight. That's how it happens a lot. You guys are expecting sport rules in a street fight.

Yes and that's what happened here, and other street fight encounters. Street and sport is different and many don't understand the difference. Seeing the response in this post confirms that. In a street fight/confrontation or any conflict, if you are close enough to get hit, you should always assume an attack may be coming. In the street people don't wait for a bell or a referee to tell them it's time to fight. That's why range and distance management matters more in street confrontations because if they are close enough to attack you, they most likely will.

Most strikes don't come from in front of you, usually from the side or the back of you. So having situational awareness to scan everyone around you and where people are moving is important in street situations. It comes with the skill of seeing who is a threat and who isn't.

It's not about friends, it's about understanding the truth about street fights. I don't expect anyone to fight fair in the streets, that's how everyone should view it. They don't, and that's usually their mistake, and you see many examples of that online in other street fights.
