Kavanagh: Conor was never more dedicated, motivated. Dustin bested the best version of Conor

connor didn't look as in shape
connor didn't look as fast
connor's timing was way off....

i don't think this is the best version of connor we've seen....

Cardio likely done with all the partying and coke i don't see him coming back stronger and better than ever...

i think this will be the start of the decline of Connor

Even more Conor fanboys are on suicide watch now.

I don’t think he lacked motivation at all but I do think that he’s regressed and he’s not the same fighter that fought Álvarez. I also think he’s had holes in his game for a number of years and is not same fighter when he’s above 145.
He changed his style. Relies a lot more on boxing, i liked when he used to throw his own leg kicks and used the karate stance.

Starting to have some doubts about this guy. There is something fishy about him. He just.... There. I have 0 vibe from that guy that he is the boss in the gym. He is more of a good friend / training partner. But even an entertaining idea for a rematch for your guy who lost badly, lost terribly? Seriously, who would pick Dustin to beat Conor by knockout?

The huge success of Conor absolutely destroyed that gym. Conor became too big to be handled by any trainer, and anyone who was around Conor got infected by the same "the world is at my feet" feeling.

Maybe this guy is an awesome coach for someone, but clearly far from the good coach for a fighter like Conor, fighting at the place like UFC.

Kavanagh has always been level headed and surprisingly unbiased when it came to Conor and fighters in general. Also quite well spoken.

As for the video, Conor himself said he felt great and did everything right. Makes Dustin's performance even that much impressive.

this dude would sell out his momma for a one nighter on conors rented yot

these guys have no real ties anymore and all he is doing is being an attention whore cause it's his little 1 second of fame

all they needed him for was to shoot a promo and act like conor still has a solid camp\crew

Dana's clowning all the casuals and they are periodically raking in millions from rival casinos

ya'll new name is blind fury
No one cares about this guy unless he's opining on Conor. His day is almost over and so he's trying to milk it. You could say, oh he just answers the questions, but he goes beyond that, in my view. I'm sure Conor has told him to shut the fck up at some point.

See, I think the issue was Conor's mentality.

He fought a fake fight vs Cowboy and then was away for so long.

This is bullshit. It wasn't the real Conor 2.0. he's just telling you what you want to hear

that was NOT even connor in the cage the other night .. strands of his hair were taken in 2017 and used to create a clone in ufc labs, what we saw out there was the first working prototype. a lot more work is required i feel we gonna have to write this one down as a failure

This is serious question, and I ask for forgiveness for my ignorance: did Cavanagh's gym ever produce a good, high level fighter beyond Conor?
It's like Serra-Longo. They had a couple decent guys but Weidman was the only one to reach an elite position. I had never heard of them before Weidman became champ.

You’re basically giving me an excuse. That would be like me saying Dustin only beat Conor because he’s over the hill. It doesn’t work like that. They are both 1-1

No, it's almost like fighters can grow/improve. Dustin has, Conor hasn't. A third fight would go similar to this one.

I am sure they felt that way during training as his corner and coach are yes men. But as a fan it was clear as day that Conor looked slower and out of sorts...I cannot recall a Conor fight where he forced the 1-2 so much and plotted forward like a statue. I favored Conor based on previous fights, but he did not look the same...Dustin still fought a much better fight this time around.

Thats true. It was NOT Connor in the cage it was Conor.

lol at the "motivated conor / conor 2.0" nuthuggers

You forgot sober Conor

Dude gets all the passes

“Just wait, when he comes back at full focus, sober, and fully motivated he can beat any man on planet”

Conor huggers think this dude could KO a yak if hit flush for crying out loud

I think this is a very open and grounded assessment of the fight, if they keep this mindset, that might be good for a possible future match, to go back to the drawing board, and so on.

And connor was in the best physical shape of his life! do you guys who says that he was not motivated, ever tried to follow a diet? When you see unmotivated fighters on the octagon, the first thing you notice is their unfit bodies.

I'd believe it. Conor was actually looking good in the fight. He was active, cut some good angles, clearly frustrated him with the shoulder, and was always moving in control. Dustin is just the better man right now and was able to take everything Conor had and quickly changed the tide. He talked about not getting into a brawl but man, did he not hesitate in that split second he stunned Conor. Really great fight overall.

Canrat tapped out 4 times and now has been sparked clean the fuck out.

Canrat 6.0 - Dead Leg Redemption Conor?
