Just how good did Conor's striking look tonight?

Not great. He had success with low kicks but one did get checked, and it probably did contribute to his leg breaking. He landed one good left hand but Dustin was able to bully him and he seemed to have no defense for Dustin on the feet. Conor was getting made Dustin's bitch everywhere.

but nah cmon, yeah it wasnt looking good but he wasnt using much energy on the ground who knows how it wouldve gone past that, anything couldve happened and it was a freak injury in what couldve been a great fight with a definitive finish shit just sucks.

Conor was definitely winning the striking exchange early but Poirier actually hurt Conor before the TD.

I would have loved to see the 2nd round though

It looked good at the start when Conor was keeping distance, but when Dustin got in and connected in close, then Conor panic-clinched. Dustin smashed him on the ground and even if Conor never broke his leg, he'd get finished in round 2 or 3 as his gas tank would've been out by then.

Dustin wasn't ready for these low kicks by Conor. Conor's striking looked the best in ages. But obviously he made mistakes in grappling again.

Conor wasn't ready for Dustin to check those lowkicks because one of those checks broke his leg.
