OnlyFans Will Ban Pornography Starting in October

OnlyFans, which has amassed a base of more than 130 million users largely for adult-oriented subscription fan pages, announced that it will ban sexually explicit content this fall.

The U.K.-based company said it is making the changes “to comply with the requests of our banking partners and payout providers,” in a statement provided to Variety.

Effective Oct. 1, 2021, “OnlyFans will prohibit the posting of any content containing sexually explicit conduct,” the company said in a statement. “In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform, and to continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines.”

According to OnlyFans, creators will continue to be allowed to post content containing nudity “as long as it is consistent with our Acceptable Use Policy.” The site’s terms currently allow nudity except in the case of content featuring public nudity recorded in or broadcast from a jurisdiction where public nudity is illegal.

They are just saying that but maybe it has to do with some models lying on their age of consent and being underage and also young buys who stole their parents credit cards to subscribe.
 
This reminds me of when Playboy decided to get rid of nudity once Hef passed away. They actually thought people meant it when they said that they read Playboy for the articles <45>

It's interesting that their banking partners are driving this change. I'd heard other places that certain banks and even visa/Mastercard make some attempts to block their credit cards from being used on porn.

I find hard to believe these companies are run by puritans, so I wonder why the payments industry is so anti-porn?

Don’t they want to become something like cameo for celebrities? There are probably a lot of celebs that don’t want anything to do with a porn site so they are going to attempt to pivot from that.

That's hilarious, I mean it will essentially kill a huge chunk of their business and force these hoes to move to some other provider and take their simps with them, but it's better off for society that this shit doesn't get any worse than it has.

I've found it's mostly due to where the HQ of the site is. An American based CC company has a hard time getting their money from Chinese and Russian borrowers so block off a lot of transactions to those companies. Just so happens there's a lot of overlap between porn and Russia.
