What's your most prized possession?

I lost everything childhood wise in arson so what I want to say I can't.

My engagement ring.

Worked with an dude who had his finger “de-gloved” of its skin when he got his ring caught in a machine and generally I can’t stand wearing jewelry which leads me to constantly take off my engagement ring. I’ve lost like 4.

I just realized that I have been so altruistic since my kids were born (now young adults) that I really do not have any material possession that I truly love. I used to have Hot rods, Motorcycles, toys but I sold everything years ago. I thinks its time I got something for myself. I would love a tiny home or small A frame on some land. My own small fortress of solitude.

What's your gear?
Just mostly older Canon gear. 5D3, a bunch of L lenses and accessories. Haven't bought any new camera gear in over 8 years. So crazy to think my camera body is already 10 years old, but still gets the job done. If I decide to start shooting again I may pick up a new lens though. Either a Canon 135L vs Sigma 135 1.8 ART vs Canon 90 2.8TS-E. Two straight forward beautiful portrait lenses vs a specialty tilt shift.

Nice... Look into Canon mirrorless too. I used a DSLR for 15 years, but mirrorless has so many advantages now.

Yeah I know. Maybe one day if I ever catch the photography bug again. Would love to go all Sony vs Canon EOS R mirrorless.

Most guys I know don't wear a ring, or get it tattooed onto their finger. As dangerous as they are for people that work, it would be a mistake for a guy to wear one.

My 1984 Camaro Z28. It's a copy of my High School car. What makes it my prized possession is my Mom purchasing it for me as an early Birthday / Christmas present this year.

This is likely her last holiday season with us due to late stage cancer. She wanted to do something really special for me. She did. I love you Mom.

I meant if I ever did go mirrorless I would either consider Sony mirrorless system or the Canon EOS R system.

I have a Sony and used Nikon forever. I really like the Sony and Sony was way ahead a few years ago when I got mine, but the other companies have caught up now. They're all really good now.

a tiny home with an over sized covered deck around the whole thing would be a thing of beauty i think. if i lived somewhere that got cold id install propane or natural gas heating elements all around it too so i could be outside all year round.

put a loft above for the bedroom so the whole floor on the bottom is livable and that would be good enough for me.

My MBP is also my prized possession. Has every pic I've taken the past 16 yrs, all my music, all pornos I've made, etc.

My wife, or my 18C battle of Trafalgar flintlock
