i've always thought that barboza was/could have been champion material. when he first started, he looked good.

For sure. Lots of strengths but quite a few holes as well. He needed to catch a Bisping-type break and then capitalize on it. It just didn't happen.

Yes he's shown wrestling, even when he was like 23 he was able to takedown Makwan and defend Makwans takedowns and scramble pretty well. Nik Lentz wasn't able to score a single takedown on Allen either, he's not Yair, I don't think Holloway can count on a takedown here.
