Received the gloves and tried them on the bag quickly. So just a quick review. Before I must say that I'm used to my winning 16oz that I use now since 6years. My winning are very very soft, I can literally squish them like a sponge. I don't remember at the start if they were like that. The padding still good for sparring, but I don't know if the wrist support is still supporting something... Winning are so expensive, it's sad to realize that they are not lasting forever...
Anyway about the PowerLock 2, they are very snug. My hand plus handwrap fit but forget about having knuckle guard. They are in overall very stiff, but again I'm used to very soft. The padding is a hard one, very nice pop on the bag. The lace system is very well done, I put my lacenLoop with the "
Suave System" it's working very nicely. I must say my wrists seems lock.
They have an industrial feel, for the price it's normal. They remind me of the rival RS11v which I dont like because they never break in and the padding is super hard. The powerlock has a better wrist support and since it's real leather, I have good hope that they will break in nicely.
If they don't, I don't think I would spar with them, even at 16oz, way too hard. So to resume, seems good, the wrist technology seems to actually work compare to the Rival and their "angle" that honestly make no difference, but it will depend of how much they soften with time to make them a good glove.
