I thought the Matt Hughes stuff you posted in the rover thread was pretty cool.

Was there anything he did in the gym that stood out to you as particularly impressive?

Other than him having 9 toes, no. He's a pretty country boy, though.

I was about 15-18 years old during that time. He was a volunteer wrestling coach at our small high school, and the only from that small town that had gone on to do anything impressive. I was just learning to lift, so everything he did was impressive. Looking back on it, there probably wasn't anything too impressive. Someone like Kyle is still likely stronger than Hughes was, and at a much smaller bodyweight.

I haven't been updating here for a bit. I dislocated my shoulder in wrestling, and so I haven't been doing any strength work. I wrestled once last week and once this week. I think I should be up for more this next week.

So my first session was pretty lame. I got a flat tire on the way to the gym, and so the childcare was only open for 20 minutes. Both the squat racks were taken, so this was what i settled on.

That's your 5 Pr ? how? You squatted 4 months ago.

What exactly is the question?

How is that your 5 rep Pr? You squatted 4 hundo like two months ago. I'm just a bit surprised, I imagined you have more in you.

I injured my shoulder and haven't been squatting as much lately, because its hard to get my arm into position when racking the bar. I'm just now back in my first wave of 5/3/1 since the injury.
