I don't think you know enough about film to have an opinion.

As for Timmy, he was a square peg in a round hole and took some amazing footage. I have to point out that all the bears he acclimated to humans would end up shot if they came near human settlements. That's exactly why you're told not to feed wild animals, because then they become comfortable around humans and won't leave.

Werner Herzog is actually a pretty awesome director and has some great films. Cave of Forgotten Dreams is one of his better ones if you are looking for a different perspective on him.
