Thanks, Doc. Its defintely a work in progress, but 190 felt really comfortable. I struggled on the last rep of the 4th set, but in all I was pleased with the effort.

My log was missing everything since Nov 2014 or something. I have a log on a few other sites anyway.
 
I'd have to check my log but I think 190x5 is where my bench stalled in the Summer, maybe 195x5. I'll find out today where it's at now. I thought your bench was a bit higher than mine. You've benched 225, yeah?
 
I've hit 235 at Lift for kids competition 2 years ago. I also hit 480 DL as well. I was running an over-the-top russian peaking program for both so I never really kept the same volume or intensity. I actually stopped deadlifting after that for most of the year, only picked it up again within the last few months. It shows... Maybe too much corn?

I'm pretty confident that 245 will go up when I compete on Feb 6.

So I compete in a push-pull on Feb 6. I wasn't really playing with my programming but the cycle seems to finish about 2-3 weeks early for bench and 2 weeks for deadlift.

My last programmed day for bench has me doing a triple at 225, and for DL a triple at 425. I am confident that I will hit both quite easily. I really don't want to start the cycle over again since it starts with 10s and I don't want to be exhausted for the meet, I'd like to hit a Bench PR.

So I was thinking of taking the 2 available weeks for bench and pushing doubles and singles working up to my openers and then resting for the week leading up to the meet, maybe light work and band work. For DL, I'll try to hit my opener two weeks prior and then rest.

The significance of where I am in my training is, well... significant.

Bench press of 205 for 6 reps is a huge PR for me.

And the way 285 felt with no equipiment (belt, or wrist wraps) was fantastic. I haven't really belted at all for this whole training cycle. Miaou would be proud AF! Maybe on the top sets of week three's
