The toughest pro wrestler ever?

I think it was lance or jericho that mentioned it before. Not so much about his toughness. Just that he wasn't a shooter.

Yeah, he wasn't a shooter. But he still could of been tough. I don't think he had any wrestling, Bret wrestled in HS at least.

Yeah but if stu was tough have been in the army instead of the navy.

Wait, I'm not saying Stu was a pushover. He was a great catch wrestler and teacher. Very strong also.
He was a great amateur wrestler who had his dreams of wrestling in the Olympics dashed by WW2.
I don't put him in the elite status of Karl Gotch but nobody tested Stu. Pesek is probably my number one shooter and I believe he would have mauled Stu
No shame in that though.
Owen was his best wrestling son, btw.

Billy Robinson.

The pit in Wigan, England was a factory that made badasses.

From countless stories from other wrestlers, the consensus #1 badass of all time was Haku (Meng).

Word was the guy had stupid freakish strength, broke off handcuffs with his arms cuffed behind his back, would get pepper sprayed and it had almost no affect on him, and was a nice guy but if you got him mad he was terrifying, the only guy just about every other wrestler openly admits to being scared of.

There are stories of him biting off chunks of people in brawls, tossing big guys around like children and once putting two fingers inside a guy's mouth and breaking off some of his bottom teeth.

It's not surprising he comes from the Pacific islands and has that Mark Hunt retard strength and thick bones. Would have been interesting if he was in his prime now and he tried out the HW division.

A somewhat distant second place according to other wrestlers was the Barbarian, another Pacific Islander.

“There are 3 types of men: tough men, wrestler-tough men, and then there’s Meng.”-Arn Anderson

Very few men in the history of pro wrestling has garnered fear…legitimate fear for a single individual than Tonga Fifita. If the name doesn’t sound familiar, he was also known as Meng in WCW and Haku in the WWF. Regardless what you call him, make sure you do it with a smile and respect…because Tonga Fifita has one heck of a reputation.

The stories you hear or read are that of legend. Whether it’s gouging another wrestler’s eye out or breaking off someone’s bottom teeth in a brawl…Fifita has been called one…if not the toughest wrestlers in the business. A man who was truly feared and respected for his brute strength and unprecedented intensity. All it took was a certain look or glance from his eyes and you knew if you were going out of bounds.

Ric Flair

Ric Flair comparing MMA fighters to Haku: “Don’t ever think that anybody would mess with Haku. If he was a young guy and he got into MMA, my god — he’d have done everything! He was the toughest son of a bitch I’ve ever met in my whole life. No lie, take my word for it.”

Bobby Heenan

“The toughest man I’ve ever met in my life. “He took his two fingers on his right hand, his index finger and trigger finger, and he reached into a guy’s mouth and he broke off the guy’s bottom teeth.” Heenan added, ‘I wouldn’t have believed it, if I didn’t see it for myself.’ Bobby Heenan also claimed that Andre the Giant wasn’t afraid of anybody…except for Harley Race and Haku.

Jake Roberts

“If I had a gun and was sitting inside a tank with one shell left and Meng is 300 yards away, he’s mine, right? Well the first thing I’m going to do is jump out of the tank and shoot myself because I don’t want to wound that son of a bitch and have him pissed off at me.”
Hey jake how can u shoot your self if your outside the tank{<huh}<seedat><JagsKiddingMe>

Stu wasn't a tough guy or much of a shooter. He knew holds though

Thought I read somewhere Gene Lebell gave him some mad props for being a badass.

Also "Bad News Brown" supposedly challenged Andre to a fight after the Giant used a racial slur and Andre backed down.

I've heard all of the tales of the wrestlers like Haku, Brusier Brody, and Harley Race, but lets be serious here Brock Lesnar would destroy all of these guys.

If we are talking pure toughness, a guy like Foley would sit near the top of the list. Tough is really the ability to endure or take punishment.

What everyone is getting at is the last guy you would want to fight. Sure, Lesnar would be at the top of the list and then a Haku would definitely be next

Has anyone seen how Lesnar fights without eyeballs in his head or a huge chunk missing from his neck?

These are the type of thing Meng does to his victims.

Yes we've seen Lesnsar fight in UFC, but biting and eye removal is prohibited in that setting.

Until I hear about Lesnar beating up a bunch of cops after being cuffed and maced then I'm not sure at all.

If the fight were to happen today then maybe Meng is too old, but a few years ago I don't know.

It's like a grizzly bear vs a gorilla. I'd love to see it.

Billy Robinson.

I love these modern videos of Billy. Look at the size of that man. A fucking gorilla right up until the end,

Me too. I downloaded them all from youtube and burned them to DVD.

His knowledge needs preserving.

I don't think he gets enough credit for how wise and tough he was.

I don't doubt it one bit. Olympic Bronze medalist in Judo, and maybe would have won another in 1972 if not for a knee injury keeping him @ home. No one fucked with Bad News.

Interesting tid bit (per Wikipedia so take it with a grain of salt), Allen was the first African American to medal at the Olympics in a solo sport other than boxing or Track and Field.

Vader backstage ass beating aside, I've heard several stories about my man Paul Orndorff. Legit college athlete, built like a brick sh!thouse. I always loved the way he carried himself inside and outside the ring.
