Glory 46 China- Rico vs Bigfoot & Marcus vs Pereira

I could have sworn I heard someone at the China press conference or one of the recent backstage interviews mention that at least one of the fights on this card was going to be a Sanda rules bout now that someone mentioned it, but I can't recall who said it exactly.

If that's the case then fantastic I would love to see that.

Edit:
This article says neigh unfortunately

Multiple-time world and Chinese national Sanda champions have been selected to compete in front of the crowd filling Guangzhou Gymnasium on fight night, including three athletes hailing from the renowned Tagou Martial Arts School.

Tagou's Xiang Ye, a decorated Sanda practitioner, will test his skills against 20-year-old Australian prospect Junior Tafa under GLORY rules. This heavyweight match-up will serve as the GLORY 46 China co-headline bout.

The Sanda bout wasn't listed on Wikipedia, so that will make a six fight main card including the Qualification Tournament final following a six bout Superfight Series card. The SFS starts at 6 AM EDT, and the main card at 9 AM EDT, so that's pretty damn early! I don't have much hope that the sportsbooks will release odds on any bouts but the Rico vs Bigfoot and Marcus vs Pereira bout. I might have to get up just in time for the main card and then go back and watch the Superfight Series on Fight Pass to maintain some semblance of a normal sleep schedule.

My sleep schedule by sheer chance is fucked up in the perfect way for me to watch this card.

Betting odds out on 5Dimes for Glory 46. I pounded the under 1½ rounds for Rico vs Bigfoot even with the only three minute rounds and Rico not being a huge knockout artist in this mismatch.

Chances are I won't get to see this. My city is on fire, may have to evacuate tonight :(

My mom's house was reduced to a chimney the other night. Whole cities being evacuated.

I got my car packed with my beer collection and all of my Kickboxing gear ready to bounce at a moment's notice.

This happened in the middle of the night early Monday morning:

Snub should be watching Glory like

Damn this is creepy, looks like a napalm attack,it looked less bad on news channels

be safe man, i wish you the best of luck

Will silva vs Verhoeven be 3 or 5 rounds? I bet Verhoeven will knockout silva and it will be brutal. Verhoeven is not big knockout artist in kickboxing but silva is novice in kickboxing, too old and has terrible knockout loss streak. Still don't understand why glory accept this. I hope silva doesn't die after this fight.

Will be 3 rounds. I think Verhoevens power is underrated. If he can work, he can take you apart.

Interestingly enough Cormier says, Verhoeven is by far the hardest puncher he faced and they only sparred.

Three late changes to the Glory 46 China card. The Sanda rules bout was moved to the SFS portion of the card, Mark Hunt protege Junior Tafa gets a new Chinese opponent Quanchao Luo subbing in for Xiang Ye for his heavyweight bout on the main card and Argentine kickboxer Alan Scheinson steps in to replace Khaial Dzhaniev in a 75 kg bout vs Shanghai Gao.

New updated card below:

Glory 46 China
Middleweight Title Headline Bout: Simon Marcus vs. Alex Pereira
Featherweight Tournament Final Bout: Winner of Bout A vs. Winner of Bout B
Heavyweight Co-Headline Bout: Quanchao Luo vs. Junior Tafa
Featherweight Tournament Semifinal Bout B: Chenglong Zhang vs. Quade Taranaki
Featherweight Tournament Semifinal Bout A: Chenchen Li vs. Masaya Kubo

Glory 46 Super Fight Series
Heavyweight Headline Bout: Rico Verhoeven vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva
Middleweight Bout: Wei Zhou vs. Andre Walker
Catchweight (75 kg) Co-Headline Bout: Shanghai Gao vs. Alan Scheinson
Professional Sanda (60 kg) Bout: Hongxing Kong vs. Yang Sun
Catchweight (53 kg) Bout: Jia Liu vs. Zaza Sor. Aree
Catchweight (68 kg) Bout: Lei Xie vs. Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao
Lightweight Bout: Qinghao Meng vs. Pascal Schroth

Oh wait Dzhaniev was out too...fffuuuu.

Just had Schroth's name in my head as replacing someone and assumed/confused that was Scheinson. Sch...

Well there's still Marcus-Pereira at least.

Catchweight (68 kg) Bout: Lei Xie vs. Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao
Couldn't they of at least brought in a bigger featherweight to fight at that catchweight instead of the smallest in the division who recently fought at 62kg? I hope Pets not sluggish. That's a big weight jump and he's been getting fucked over a lot recently.
