Trump signs order to eliminate ACA insurance rules, undermine marketplaces

Speaking of kids and their dog, maybe we need a fresh approach to the Russia investigation.

Manafort has been informed he can expect to be indicted if that hasn't already happened.
Seems like it's moving at about the pace these things do, if you've lived through a couple

Yes, you note a similarity. How can you not see the difference between giving your child something for free and making them pay for something they receive from you?

Because you're not making them pay for it. The money that they are supposedly using to pay for it only exists because you gifted them the asset first.

It's like handing someone $1,000,000 and saying that they have to pay you $200,000 out of that money in order to keep the rest. Contrast that with requiring that they produce the $200,000 before you hand over the $1,000,000. In the former, you're really just gifting them $800,000. In the latter, they must demonstrate the ability to earn $200,000 on their own before you reward them an additional $800,000.

It's an economic shell game that allows someone to make a gift of the business while giving it the veneer of a legitimate economic transaction. It's a fairly common way to hand down small businesses within families and avoid the issues that arise with probating an estate.

He's talking regularly with Rand Paul on this, and Rand is a repeal only guy. So basically Trump is sabotaging the ACA which is the same as a flat repeal.
he certainly is, but it's more just to expedite the process. Obamacare was going to fail anyhow, and I sourced it earlier. It was a crappy law that couldnt sustain the mandate (not heavy handed enough).

"Better Coverage at a fraction of the cost...for everyone"

Tell me again, you brainless fucks on the right, how is 'you can keep your doctor' worse than that? Where is this ''better coverage for a fraction of the cost for everyone?" Where? You assholes on the Right run the fucking federal government. Where is it? Probably bc the republicans never had intentions of any affordable care for the Hoi Polloi....thats the non-rich for you right wingers. You fucking suckers on the right will believe anything. Did I mention you morons are dragging this country down to a new Dark Ages? Not that you'd even catch the reference...dumb fucks.

The irony is that you could have kept your doctor with lower premiums if the Cruz amendment was never added to the ACA. Now we have more right wing sabotage from Cossack Don, the conman.

And guess who's getting kicked in the balls over it? Yup, the working poor.

How 'bout a tax cut Sparky...skewed to the elites? That's gonna fix things.

Nah bro, without obamacare the average monthly insurance premium would be over $10k
either you swing left, middle, or right, obamacare never took issue with the COST of health care in america. Sooner or later, you'll have to admit that it's a total failure.

some people are shafted less than others, but make no mistake, the majority of folks are getting shafted. No amount of political propaganda changes that.

I'm not saying Hawaii was representative, however, obamacare is federal, if it fails in one state, it'll likely fail in others, and that's exactly what happened. Lets not pretend that Trump was the reason for the failure, that's purely revisionist. Trump and crew definitely want to expedite the failure so they can replace it.

as for the natural rise of expenditure, Obamacare didnt lower it, so it fails, case closed. You can argue this or that makes little difference.

Doesn't seem wise to throw the whole system out and kick millions off plans because of Hawaii. Wouldn't reform be a much preferable solution to repeal?

Seems like you're making good the enemy of perfect.

UHC would be much better, but that isn't feasible right now.

so happy i have company provided insurance and dont have to worry about this.

The subsidies were already found unconstitutional.

The subsidies were already found unconstitutional.

How? Is this another thing where "anything we dont like" =unconstitutional?

The Supreme Court upheld the ACA.

Die hard Trumpets will tell you how great getting kicked in the nuts is when Trump is booting them in the sacks. You know that the group that will suffer the most are Trump voters in the Midwest right?

in case you dont understand, Hawaii was just one state showing early symptoms.

other states also face the problem now.
https://www.cnsnews.com/news/articl...5-states-will-have-only-1-obamacare-insurance

insurers dropping from 39 states...... in 2016!

it was failing on it's own, lets not pretend Trump is causing this failure.

Anyone know what happened to the total per capita health care spend in America pre and post Obama care?

(Total means public and private expense).

Up down similar???
