There is some stubble on his jaw, but the majority under his chin is shadow.

It's not even symmetrical like a beard.

It's hard to tell in that picture but it is a beard. Look at other pictures of him, he has some kind of bizarre neck beard.

If im understanding it correctly, you can make the machines pay out by only playing certain hands. They pay out at x%. If you fold low paying hands (ex. single pair) and lose for along period of time, you can basically force them to pay out on higher paying hands (ex.straights, full house).

My understanding is you play for long periods of time while breaking even or losing a few bets then when you finally hit a royal flush you cash out and leave. Rinse and repeat

Maybe, I don't know either way more time and money is required than what I have.

Video poker advantage play is pretty dead nowadays. There are a couple "jacks or better" setups that break even, and with perfect play and some good comps/promotions can be profitable (and there is the odd opportunity here and there on other video poker games), especially if you like staying in casinos and consider comps to be profit.

So without skimming 275 pages am i correct in saying we still have nothing on motive or if he even broke a single law before smashing the window??

Damn Fawlty, that says a lot.

Palast is really underappreciated imo
Yeah, he has put out some great pieces about voter suppression and the interstate cross check system designed by Kris Kobach to disenfranchise voters. I met him once. I called him Jack Palance. I was high.

Interesting article. I get that it was difficult to see the privileged automatically advance while being on the outside looking in. At the same time he was still able to advance beyond the average middle class experience which is not a possibility in many countries. I made it but I'm still pissed, seems to be what he's saying if I'm reading it right.

Watching film of the scene is awkward. So many dudes trying to calm women down saying "guns don't sound like that". So many women complaining about the discomfort of either ducking or running.

I can't even get my girlfriend to look away if I spot a coworker at the grocery store and I'm trying to avoid them. Attempting to keep her safe in a situation like Mandalay would be a waste of time. She'd still do what makes sense in her head and it would get me killed.

Don't know if this has been posted but here's a pretty interesting article by Greg Palast, who went to high school with the shooter.

So this guy is saying gets it and understands killing 50+ random people because Paddock just didn't quite get the chances his big brain deserved? Wtf? The dude was a millionaire by all accounts. Apparently the chance he got at Lockheed was plenty

So,.... 3 weeks later and we don’t seem to know any more about motive than as the day after,

That in itself is interesting.
