Crime Las Vegas Mass Shooting

So,.... 3 weeks later and we don’t seem to know any more about motive than as the day after,

That in itself is interesting.
It is not, as investigations must exhaust all options and that takes considerable time.

Video poker advantage play is pretty dead nowadays. There are a couple "jacks or better" setups that break even, and with perfect play and some good comps/promotions can be profitable (and there is the odd opportunity here and there on other video poker games), especially if you like staying in casinos and consider comps to be profit.
back when i used to do machines i would go to vegas and win $500-$1000 a night on the "wheel of fortune" games. used to have to go there a lot for business. fun times

Ok,,, I will stand corrected. My assumption was the level of resources dedicated to this event would be at a completely different level than just about any other crime and normally there would be some info that would trickle out by now.

I hope it doesn’t turn out a case of the guy being upset that his sushi wasnt comped .

I'd be less offended by you just being a CTer rather than that last sentence (being I live in Vegas).

The investigation will take some time, and I think we're seeing that people being accustom to instant gratification these days has made them forget how investigators operate here. Holding your cards close to your chest is important when you have to assure this isn't part of a bigger thing. And that's the irony. People start claiming nefarious behavior from the "powers that be" when they are utilizing protocol in line with successful investigating.

I've been really lucky on that game too. That and older style bar 7 slots.

before ufc 148 my friend and i went around and were playing the penny slots and got up to like $300. Vegas has been kind to me and given some very fun times.

the penny slots are hilarious because they are all like Ghostbusters or Star Wars themed and you can play a penny or you can play 100 pennies.

So this guy is saying gets it and understands killing 50+ random people because Paddock just didn't quite get the chances his big brain deserved? Wtf? The dude was a millionaire by all accounts. Apparently the chance he got at Lockheed was plenty

Exactly, but our climate of resentment politics keeps coming back to this. Man up is no longer the aproach to life. Instead of training people to not miss opportunities that come their way it's all about complaining you didn't have the same opportunities of others.

Hasn't helped anyone overcome anything.

Sounds about right. We'll ignore people in other casinos that saw and heard shots coming in through the doors.

It's just a 'conspiracy theory'

I had friends in and around the event. I had friend in the Aria and inside of Excalibur. All said people would come running in from outside saying there was a shooter, and in the panic the "telephone game" effect would occur, causing consistent false claims of shooters in those areas. The scanner supports this concept as consistently had "shots heard at ___" then followed by "at scene, no shooter".

People within high-stress scenarios they are not prepared for are the WORST at recalling what occurred and in what order.

somebody I knew won $460,000 on the penny slots.

First 48 = Real Crime Scene Investigations
Main Stream Media = Government Agency sponsored sales ads to the masses funded by 6 billionaires.

Update from coroner's office:

1,100 rounds fired

58 victims died from bullet wounds, none from trampling. Of these:

21 from headshot
36 from chest/back strike
1 from leg strike
4 had multiple bullet wounds

Stephen Paddock died of one self-inflicted shot inside the mouth.

Is the investigation concluded yet? I'm not alarmed at the FBI not releasing video footage from the hotel as long as the investigation is ongoing.

Once the investigation is concluded, I expect them to release the footage. If they don't, THEN I'll start considering conspiracies.

Last I had heard is, it might be as late asoct of this year before they close the case. Then it may take even longer before they release any details about the case.

How the fuck do 52 people die of stingle bullet woulds and only 4 have multiple?

I’d also like to know the numbers of people with a bullet wound who lived. That might make this make more sense, but that ratio of single strikes to multiple seems wonk

I always found it odd that he used ar-15 vs. ar-10. A 308 seems to be a way better choice for what he intended. As far as the number of single bullet kills I assume the angle he was shooting at was the deciding factor.

Well it was 350-450 yards away and he was just spraying. Doesn't surprise me at all that there are very little people hit more than once.

the bullets coming from a high angle probably accounted for the high number of fatalities, especially shots to the head

most articles ive read say "500 wounded" so atleast several hundred injured but not killed i assume
