Manafort, Trump's campaign manager and transition committee member, indicted with Gates, a Trump staffer, on eleven counts arising from misconduct reaching into 2017 related to payments received through 2014 from the pro-russia faction of Ukraine's pre-war government. They have pleaded not guilty.

George Papadopolous pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators in 2017 about activities occuring 2016-17. Admits to meeting with various Russian officials regarding setting up meetings and "dirt" on Hillary while acting on behalf of the Trump campaign, something he previously denied.

Tony Podesta,* resigned from the Podesta Group shortly after the firm came under investigation in connection with a 2012 contract through Manafort which they did not properly register as for a foreign government. The Podesta Group alleges that they were unaware of the nature of the client and were contracted by a shell.
* Tony Podesta is John Podesta's brother, who worked as Clinton's campaign manager for the 2016 campaign. Tony Podesta did not work for Clinton, but did feature in some Pizzagate conspiracies.

Stay tuned for Flynn!

It'll be 3 indictments soon, Podesta resigned because he knows he's next. He even said he wanted to fight this alone and distanced himself from the Firm to do so.

Like we like to say in Germany: "Die mühlen der justiz mahlen langsam aber sie mahlen"

Roughly translated: The windmills of the justice system grind slowly, but they grind.
That applies to everyone, not just the Trump camp.

lol how the fuck did Podesta's brother get swept into this? This is starting to get entertaining.

lol you country and this russian bs. war mongering corporate stuff, what country will americkkka bomb next?

just remember, by the end of the investigation, no one cared about Whitewater

It sure looks like you were pushing that idea, but it appears that it was @bobgeese who explicitly stated that.

See Homer, this is why you shouldn't bend over for Hillary, she will always fuck you.

An hour after you posted this, Tony resigned. It won't be long until he's brought up on charges as well.

Plus, he's a pedophile piece of shit.

You explicitly stated that Manafort and Uranium One are connected to the Podesta group, and that Manafort tried to get the Podesta Group to help get the Uranium One deal approved. You're a lying buffoon.

Good gravy Murica this is entertaining.

The Podesta Group lobbying and PR firm founded by the Podesta brothers was contracted to the tune of $1.2m directly by Manafort to lobby in Washington DC on behalf of former Ukraine president Viktor Yanukovych. Manafort and the Podesta Group failed to disclose that they were lobbying on behalf of a foreign government, which is a big no-no.

It remains to be seen if John Podesta was in any way involved. If he was, it means both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton had presidential chiefs of staff who worked together to illegally promote a pro-Russian and Ukrainian lobbying effort.

Why do you think he stepped down?

A whistleblower from inside the Podesta group came out and said they were working on uranium one. Don't hate the messenger.

I'm trying to catch up on all this. What is the deal with Tony Podesta? I thought he and his brother were Dems so I'm confused how he ties into this.

One step at a time

So this Papadapolous guy is in trouble not for trying to get the dirt on Hilary but for lying about it?

Political witch hunt is political.

I'm still voting for Trump in 2020.

Once again, you're confusing facts here. Manafort, on behalf of The European Centre for Modern Ukraine, hired the Podesta group to lobby for that group. Not directly for Yanukovych, not even directly for his political party. For a non-profit group who turned out to be a Russian front. Also, the reporting doesn't say if the Podesta group knew that they(ECMU) were really a government backed entity.
