One day I'll run the prescribed 4, but for now x3 & I'm cooked.

That's solid. Think about this though, the world's best is 1:12.

Thanks, I think I got it down to about 1:50 or so which I was happy enough with. Couldn't do that now though. & yeah, that record is nuts. How's your training going?

I'm an ex-runner and several injuries stacked over the years mean that I can't run without tremendous pain. My Achilles are completely messed up. The problem with running fast is that eventually you're going to be injured:(

1:50 is tremendous if you are lifting and carry muscle.

RE: 1:12 600m

I actually have personal, familiarity with the guy who holds the world's best/WR. That guy would routinely go out in sub 50s for the first 400m of an 800m.

Low 1:20s is a solid 600m, anything in the high 1:10s is outstanding. 1:12 is fucking absurd. That's like 3 consecutive 24second 200s.

Sorry to hear that man. Hopefully you can/have already found something just as enjoyable to replace it with.

That 600 time is so impressive to me, even more so than the 400 record. I can grind out a sub 1 minute 400 which doesn't seem *that* (relative I know) far off the 43 second mark, but the difference 200 extra metres makes is huge. 1:50 is nowhere near 1:12. Really is a stunning time.

Cycling and rock climbing is what i do to maintain fitness, though rock climbing is a sport that can produce a lot of injuries -- with the possibility of death (LOL) !
