NCAA Wrestling

Despite being a fatass, I like the little guys as well. But 165 this year is tops and 184 was for me last season.

BTW, it looks like Yianni lost to Eiermann.

Yup. Defensive cradle for a takedown with backs with like 15 seconds left

165 is admittedly deeper but I've always paid close attention to 125 so I know the guys a bit better. 165 is fucking crazy though, I couldn't believe Marinelli was #11 but the ranking makes sense for sure.

As time goes by it is looking like Zahid is going to be better. But there's still time.

I don't think there is any question. Anthony was the better recruit coming out of high school but there is no debate now. He has the intangibles Anthony doesn't, namely heart.

Bouncing between the Powerade and Midlands on my laptop. Bartlett knocked off Teasdale but I think Gavin should have gotten the 2 at the end. He did have both ankles for a split second.

Yeah I seem to remember Anthony winning a Jr world medal and notching some pretty big senior level wins while still in high school. They were both monsters in HS though right? Winning Cali state titles and such, right?

How is Marinelli looking so far in his NCAA career? I know he won a ton of Ohio State titles, did he compete at Fargo or NHSCA Senior Nationals?

Anthony was the #1 recruit. Zahid was the #3. I believe Massa was between them.

Pretty damn good. I think he's a folk specialist though.

So no Fargo? And to your point I remember Mark Hall beat him pretty easily in that last match they had. The hyped up one. That was FS I believe. Not that losing to Hall is any indication that you're not good at FS but I expected it to be closer.

Not sure about Fargo. The more I think about it though, I do think he tried to challenge Hall for the Junior Worlds spot and Hall 10-0'd him.

Pretty sure he teched him in a best 2 out of 3 twice. It took very little effort.

Didn't Hall have close matches the summer after his senior year of HS with both Valencia and Massa? I think he beat Valencia in a very close match at a last chance qualifier and beat Massa in a close one at OTTs.

Both of those guys were coming off a red shirt season compared to being in HS but I think that was the reason I thought Massa was going to challenge Imart going into last year.

He must've bc he was at the Olympic trials and won at least1 match.

I just got around to watching the Lee/Bresser match and I dont understand how that wasnt a reversal at the end.

So I got Flo now and I gotta say the Mocco documentary was pretty disappointing.

Through 2 episodes no interviews with Rowlands, Konrad, McCoyn Lowney or Dlagnev?

They didn't cover him taking 4th at junior world's, or his beating a world champion while still in college?

They just went over everything that was already known about him from his perspective.

I hope there other documentaries are better than this.

I agree totally. I mean, isn't Mocco like 1 of 10 Americans to win the Yarygin? How do u not mention that!? I signed up bc I wanted to see the Kolat and Brands docs and they were very good, but after that the content was just ok. The documentary about the Ivan Yarygin was also very good.
