After exactly 500 votes cast, we have a winner of Submission of the Year!

With almost two thirds of the vote, Demetrious Johnson's fifth round submission of Ray Borg, called later by Mighty Mouse the "Mighty Wiz-bar" and not the "Mouse Trap" - that's something else - is our 2017 Heavies Award Sub of the Year.

In a distant second place, Alexey Oliynik's Ezekiel Choke of Viktor Pesta, the first in UFC history, picked up 107 votes.

In third, Brett Johns scored only the second Calf Slicer (Charles Oliveira pulled off a reverse calf slicer a few years ago) in UFC history against Joe Soto with 33 votes.

Tony Ferguson's triangle choke submission of Kevin Lee to win the Interim UFC Lightweight Championship picked up fourth with 20 votes.

In Russia, Sergei Kharitonov pulled off an achilles lock submission with his legs while Geronimo dos Santos had his back, and the submission earned fifth place with 18 votes.

Rounding out this list, Iuri Alcantara's comeback kneebar of Luke Sanders gained just one vote, getting sixth place on this list.
