Unpopular Opinion: X-MEN: APOCALYPSE (2016) Is a Better Superhero Movie Than LOGAN (2017)

How high are you right now? On a scale of bath salts to whatever is worse than bath salts?

Can't really agree there, though Apocalypse wasn't that bad. My unpopular opinion is that First Class was significantly better than Days of Future Past.

Apocalypse was utter trash, and I didn't even finish Logan.

But I'm willing to say Logan is better anyway, because that's how bad Apocalypse was.

I had to legit YT cartoon scenes to wash that horrendous movie from my mind.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is an actual superhero movie with a great antagonist, interesting storylines, and effective character development. Its only flaw is perhaps having too many interesting characters / subplots (and also Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, and a slew of other bad female casting).

LOGAN is essentially a TERMINATOR 2 remake, with a lot of unnecessary coarse language and completely inconsistent stories / portrayals of previously established characters.

There's only two good xmen movies, the first one, and only because it was first. The other was X Men: first class. The rest are grade A garbage, that should be erased from our collective memory.

Unpopular Opinion: X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is the drizzling shits.

Here is an even more unpopular one (mostly since I haven't seen Apocalypse yet).

X-Men 3 - The Last Stand isn't a half bad movie.

Having avoided all of the xmen movies, Logan was fucking outstanding. I can see why a lot of people are put off by the sudden change in direction.

I wish all super hero movies were as dark and gritty as Logan.

Too bad the bad half is sprinkled liberally throughout the good half.

X-Men: First Class is not even canon!
How can people like that shit?

It should be called X-Man: Xavier argues with his best friend and bed buddy.

80% of Super Hero films fall into that 6.5/10 -7.5/10 range, so whatever way you want to order them is not particularly shocking, imo.

Superhero movie? Probably.

I haven't seen Apocalypse fully but based off the trailers and scenes I saw, it's 100% a superhero/comic book movie. Pure entertainment.

As a movie overall? I wouldn't think so but again I haven't seen Apocalypse to its entirety.

I'm not the biggest comic book movie guy but I absolutely loved Logan. It's a great movie with superheros, not a Superhero movie.

I agree, I couldnt even finish Logan. Apocalpyse was pretty sweet.

Wolverine is an overated can

Never seen't Apocalypse. Logan was good though. The last third dragged, but there were some great sequences throughout the film - the feral attack on the cholos, & the casino scene were amazing - and Hugh Jackman & Patrick Stewart are pure gold together.
