Connor Ruebusch and Patrick Weiman have talked very little about it in the Heavy Hands podcast but thats what sparked my interest. Just curious if anyone has any info on the subject route strikers vs organic strikers.

Rote*

If the way he's using those words is the way i think he's using them, then it's a difference between someone who's very 'by the numbers', banging on the same formula of inputs in pretty much any case (eg, Holly Holm), vs. someone who tends to go out and just, 'do things' (eg, Tony Ferguson).

*Route

Rote is without thought; by habit or routine

An "organic" fighter would be more rote technically though both learn by rote.

Route is a way or course taken in getting from a starting point to a destination (eg. Edgar will pump the jab and get a takedown. Thats the route he will usually take) Tony is a good example at an organic fighter. Lando as well id say

which route is the best route to become rote organically?
