The options aren't that good there's been better knockouts than those

I voted for Ngannou but truthfully it was Gaston Bolanos' spinning elbow KO in Bellator.

What's up with Ngannou being first? I would put almost every other KO on that list above it.
Sherdog likes that BBC.

With an impressive 646 votes cast, the winner of the 2017 Heavies Award - Best Knockout of the Year goes to Francis Ngannou, with his Mortal Kombat-esque uppercut KO of Alistair Overeem.

In a distant second place, comes Matt Brown's round one elbow from downtown KO of Diego Sanchez, with 112 votes.

Rose Namajunas's first round TKO of then-undefeated champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk placed third with 77 votes.

Following closely behind, Edson Barboza's second round crushing knee KO of Beniel Dariush took fourth with 75 votes.

Marlon Moraes flatlining Aljamain Sterling in the first round with a knee placed fifth with 42 votes.

Paul Daley's hellacious first round flying knee knockout of Brennan Ward scored 33 votes and grabbed the sixth spot.

Rounding out the list, Ricardo Ramos's spinning back elbow KO of Aiemann Zahabi in the third round only earned 7 votes and took seventh place.

Thanks for voting!

p4p Matt Browns Hellbowing Diego dead should have won, but obviously consensus takes it.
