They can say whatever they like but there's nothing they can do about it if he keeps his testosterone at normal levels.

I needed this laugh. Like you, I am also on a psychiatric medication that is screwing me up, and I started looking into TRT after one of my coaches told me that my testosterone level of 430 might be too low even if the primary care doctor said it was fine. Gave me the name of the place where he goes to get TRT replaced and was telling me how much better he feels. Everything you described in your first post is exactly how I feel.

I wonder about pills that target testosterone. I saw a comment on reddit that was addressing psychiatric drug induced harm and how a certain brand of psychiatric drug was helping it. I’m guessing TRT is just more effective than taking pills?

There is no reason to believe that 430ng/dl is low. The normal range is 300-900, 430 would be completely reasonable. It is lower than average but may be normal for you.

I would be interested in knowing what your coach thinks you should be at. I bet it's 1000.

Lol. He was basing it on his experience doing TRT himself, said the doctor brought his up to 800 something and he started feeling a lot better.

No doubt.

One thing that kind of cracks me up is white washing something with "doctor supervised" as if that's the universal vaccine for all bro' science. Ummm, I think a lot of opioid addictions have been doctor supervised.

trt will make your heart fail in the long term

anybody who tells you the opposite is lying / ignorant

if you take them when you are old, heart attack risk will increase

nothing is for free in life....

So much misinformation in here spread mostly by people not on it.

I am on TRT prescribed by a knowledgeable doctor starting at the age of 42. I have had my blood tested 8 times in the last 2 years and no issues. Some readings such as my lipid profile and PSA have actually improved.

I inject 50mg of test cyp twice per week which takes me from the very bottom of the lab range for free test to high normal.

Get treated by a specialist and have regular blood work done and you will be fine.

^ Are we sure that whatever impacts TRT has, you can see ALL of them through blood work?

2 years is nothing. I'd be interested in knowing about the side effects you experience in your 60s.
