Was GSP's return the most underwhelming return yet?

To me it's right next there to BJ Penn. BJ tried to get back into the octogon for along time, and when he finally did, he got destroyed. And GSP had so much build up and hype behind his return, just to get beat Michael Bisping and leave.

It all seems like it was kind of a waste of time. Sometimes I forget GSP even returned last year.

I hear you but to come back after 4 years and beat bisping like that?! Who honestly thought it would play out like that?

GSP didn't get beat by Michael Bisping if that's what you are trying to type...

{<huh}

And lol at comparing it to BJ who looks like a bum off the street in his current comebacks. I don't know how you drew the comparison between the 2 at all.

I was annoyed that GSP all of a sudden had piles and "unfortunately" they were so bad he couldn't fight Whitaker who was the real best MW in the world.

Are we talking about the time he came back, KOed a guy in a higher weight class, and ran off with the belt?

More buys than DC/Jones 2 of the same year

You're never going to forget this fight TS, GSP has had one fight in 4? years and is still the topic of 3 threads on the main page at all times.

He won decisively in a heavier division against the fucking champion. You’re nuts.

Everyone knew GSP was going to find the striking against Bisping, get cut up on the ground and then find the RNC.

You try to make it sound great, but anyone with a brain new how that fight was going to go. Forgettable performance.

I would say it was too obvious a troll job but it got a few bites early. So well done I guess?

Why do people hate GSP so much and like Conor so much? I dont get it? You don't have to like or dislike or be a fan of either, but it is beyond me how any normal sane person can like a loud mouth cocky brash idiotic bordering on psychotic type of individual over a quiet nice humble respectful hard working type of individual. It just makes no sense at all. Maybe they just like what they can most relate to? maybe they dislike what they can most likely relate to? People are fucking weird man its very disturbing and scary to be honest.

Withstood Bisping's punches on the jaw, then dropped him and choked him unconscious. Underwhelming? TS needs a dictionary.

I didn't give a shit when he came back or when he left abruptly again. I was imprezzed by his performance though.

he returned in an absolutely exciting fight, won a title in a higher weight class in dominant fashion, high buy rate on a card in nyc

yes really underwhelming

smh why even post??

No it was awesome, comes back and finishes a guy at a higher weight class after always getting called out for not finishing people!

Just like when Anderson came back had a pretty dull fight with Diaz and got popped for roids? Or when Fedor came back and barely got passed and had the judges rob Maldonado?
I’m assuming this is one of those GSP isn’t the GOAT threads.

In support of the hate the champ was a bit of a fluke and probably barely top 5 outside of that rockhold fight. But hehe sti came up to smash a top 5 fighter who's tough to hold down...
