A very sad day for boxing.

Renowned trainer of Herol Graham, Naseem Hamed and Kell Brook, amongst many others, has died of a brain haemorrhage aged 77.

He brought his own unique style, did a lot of community work and was an all round character in boxing. RIP.

Yeah RIP. One of Britain’s best trainers and certainly unique in the way that many of his fighters fought (except Jonny Nelson). Hopefully his legacy lives on with his son

Legend of the game. One of Sheffield's finest.

wow

just heard

RIP

damn, that's a shock.

RIP

Was he in any way related to Paul Ingle?

No

Cracking trainer who brought a completely different style to boxing(at least in the UK) and made a big difference to lot of people in the area he lived

Considering where he lived, he had a pretty stellar list of world champions....possibly better than any other trainer

Ah that's really sad news. The man responsible for Naseem Hamed and other greats. He was a true bastion of the sport.

This is terrible, so sad, his book on his relationship with Naseem was a very good read and such an incredible trainer, bit of a shock I won't lie.
