boxing being ahead of MMA skill wise, hahahaha. that's a big joke already. yes talent pool bla bla bla, but skill itself MMA is much deeper. hockey in second? wow, that's a lot of bullshit. but not unexpected since ESPN is an american company

really fucking interesting like the top 4 is all the sports the US is good at. quite a coincidence, I might say

even tennis is above eu football in this chart, like wtf

Great point.

You will notice when America fails miserably at soccer ( a worldwide global sport and the olmypics, a worldwide global athletics competition) you hear excuses like, oh we don't care about those sports!

Right, sure you don't, you don't care about the most popular athletic events, even though you claim to be the no.1 superpower in the world? That makes no sense.

Way more coordinated for soccer related skills, sure. Coordination in sports is entirely dependant on what skills are need.

The hand eye coordination to locate the ball in the air, positioning to stay in bounds and dexterity to make the catch is on par or better than any coordination needed in soccer.
Football players receive long balls tougher than that every game.
That’s really nothing special

Baseball is #1!

Stipe, former baseball player, current UFC HW champ
Michael Jordan, best basketball player eva, minor league baseball level
Deion Sanders, 2x Superbowl champ, 0x World Series champ

You muricans can cry all you want. Number 1 sport in the world IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE UNDISPUTED KING THE SPORTS FOOTBALL!!!<{Fergie}>

It's number one because it's the cheapest to play and has the lowest barrier to entry athleticism wise

Ah, the universally accepted standard of athleticism: ripping people in half.

It’s usually the combination of ones ability to run, jump, strength, and move with agility, and explosiveness. You’re not typically going to find many bigger freaks than some NFL players that do all of those things well. None of that is to say that the other sports don’t have great athletes that have adapted to their abilities to their own sport.

Also let’s be honest, these threads are typically thinly vailed nationality based trolling.

Whats the point of this discussion? Different sports take different skillsets. NFL players would lose to badminton players and table tennis guys in hand eye coordination.

Skillset is different than athleticism.

No, we really don't care, like at all.

THAT gif is your example of coordination?
Any goalkeeper that fails to catch that ball is automatically considered trash in football (soccer for you).

Sprinters are the best then. It's the most explosive event ain't it?

It's definitely up there, but speed/strength/size would be how I'd qualify athleticism. NFL or NBA probably has the athletes with the best ratio of those three on average though Usain Bolt has the size and speed part down, don't know how strong he is though.

Rofl you americans are jsut fucking reaching for every straw you can.

So a dude reaching for something with his hands is any more impressive than a dude having to launch his body into the air and connect his head with a ball that was crossed in, or a soccer player doing an over the head flip and blasting in the ball with his feet? Im telling you right now its alot easier to catch a ball with his hands than it is to somersalt and on the tail end of the flip kick the ball into a goal.

Its fine if you want to pick and choose which you think looks cooler, but dont pretend that using your hands is harder than using your feet, because in reality its more likely to be the opposite.
I'd understand where you are coming from if the guy just hit the ball with his hand but he caught the ball one handed while bending damn near horizontal and having a helmet that blocks out some vision. All while being grabbed on by the defender and remain in bounds.
I've played both sports and heading a soccer ball is much easier than a one hand catch in football.

Please stop with facts and logic, because these yanks will happily compare NFL players who basically sprint for a living, to Tyron woodley in that clip of him sprinting with an NFL player (hes a wrestler/power puncher with shit cardio) but yet they would never compared NFL players to the sprinters of the world, because then they would look D level.. see how this works? People insert their biases in to fit their equation.

Yeah, a soccer ball with two hands, not a football with one hand thrown in the air while falling back.

Plenty of NFL players are comparable to sprinters in straight line speed while being bigger and stronger.

LMAO a sport that doesn't have endurance in it but they are so A level.. we also got people claiming Cardio isn't athl

Right, even though 40 or 50% of the current champ roster is white, and before it was 70% but it went down.. Had one dude telling me there is no white champs yesterday, had to write off a fucking list ahha.. i was like okay.. let me start with the heavyweight champ.. you know that white dude that has a job and still is the champ.. ok.

They have endurance, they can probably run 5-6 minute miles, but no they don't run 5ks or half marathons
