Fellow Sherbros, Your Thoughts on Hardy. Are You Ok With Him in The UFC?

Are you OK with Greg Hardy getting a UFC contract?

He will be fighting on a UFC card in less than 6 months. They are dying for talent and ratings. NGannou was fighting in the UFC with what 3 years of experience? That's about what Hardy has.
Even so, he was 5-1 with all five of his wins by stoppage. I'm hopeful that Dana leans towards him needing more experience and getting him another fight LFA, another fight on DWTNCS, and then we'll see.

In theory yes. But look at morons like War Machine, he became a bigger threat after he learned martial arts

War Machine had several other incidents of assault and DV. He was a repeat repeat repeat offender. Hardy may have just had one horrible night where he lost it. Maybe he learned from it.

I'm indifferent about it. If people want to say he doesnt deserve it based on his actions then fine. But guys like Rumble and Travis Brown had similar issues and where is all the outrage?

I think Hardy will have 2 more wins within 3 months. The UFC talent is so weak at heavyweight. Coulter was just on a card and I see no difference in skill there. Hardy is probably already the best athlete in the UFC. He was good enough to play 3 sports in college.

Seems like an uneven yardstick to exclude him. There's definitely selective outrage here.

You must be new, because there was a lot of discussion here about both men.

He's fighting weak competition, but his athleticism and instincts are pretty high level

I hate this thing that people do where if a public person makes a human mistake, (shit if any person makes a human mistake) all of a sudden they want to take away their ability to make a living and survive.

Can he fight? Yes. Is it entertaining when he fights? Yes. Sign me up.

I think violent criminals should be barred from combat sports altogether. Shouldn't be allowed in gyms altogether. They're already a danger to society, they shouldn't get the opportunity to become more dangerous.

But officially he isnt a criminal.

Why not? I like fighters from Akhmat club who are supported by Kadyrov, lol. It can't be much worse than that...

I don't know the guy. I did read he has domestic violence on his account, that makes him a real asshole. He seemed decent in the interviews I saw them do with him. I dont know. Gustaffson was a piece of shit too. Where do you draw the line?

Dude definitely fuqd up in past .. but if he paid his dues then we must move on !!

What does that say about the finger pointer that always brings up old shit ??

Dan Hardy deserves another shot .. not his fault he had health issues

Not nearly the same

Jones didn't go out with the intention of hitting someone

Hardy purposely attacked someone.
When you "accidentally" hit someone with your car and flee without seeing if they are OK, its the same as doing it on purpose. Especially when you come back for your cocaine and flee again without checking on them the second time. The cocaine was more important than the lives of the pregnant lady and the unborn defenseless baby to Jon. Sure, its not the same. Its actually worse and more way selfish. I am not supporting hitting women for any reason, but I don't know if Greg Hardy's ex-girlfriend did anything to set him off. I do know the pregnant lady and the baby never did anything to Jon to deserve being treated less than human.

Sure, I'm here for fights. I could care less bout what's behind the product. Those issues are for others to deal with. If he is allowed to fight I'm here to watch fights.

PEDS, Past, Personality really mean nothing, only Performance.

Again I will use my favorite analogy...I treat em like strippers, cash to dance and them I'm done...

I don't know em, and likely I don't want to know em. If we had to dissect everywhere our dollar went we would never spend (or earn) em.

While I get brother @Soul On Ice take on it, most likely both men are shit heads. One guy has been given multiple chances the other guy on his first get out of jail card.

That's true, but War Machine was dealt a pretty raw hand from the beginning with his Dad dying/Mom being a drug addict. It wasn't until he fell out of MMA a bit, started doin porn and dating a porn star a that he started going off the rails. There's a possibility he already would have killed someone like Mack long ago, opposed to beating her and the beau up. It's hard to say but it seems martial arts usually gives guys like Tyson chances for a good life and some semblance of normalcy that would have been otherwise impossible.

I'll atleast root for Hardy to do well. He does seem like a nice guy from the interviews and humbled. It's hard to slack in MMA, where as you can cut different corners in football and are surrounded by idiots and other equally troubled people.
