Takanori Gomi vs Melvin Guillard added to Rizin 11

Yes, if it was 2008.

Do you guys even care that some one like Melvin has seriously only won like 4 or 5 fight since like 2011 out of like 20 fights. Many recently against guys that aren't exactly at the top or even near it.

Gomi has like 3 wins also since like 2011.

Holy shit, how can anyone sit here and think this some great match up. It's nothing more than cheap pop for the Japan crowd of someone well past their prime fighting another guy well past their prime. Both of these guys should've retired 5 years ago and no one would thought that was a bad ideal.
Yeah but no one in MMA retires when they should so you should just enjoy this since it's actually evenly matched

Why are they even allowing Melvin to fight ? The guy needs to hang em up, he doesn’t have it anymore, he’s gonna end up with major brain trauma for the rest of his life.

gomi all the way till the end

Might be the first double KO in a big MMA org

I thought somebody posted a video of Melvin fighting at 205 awhile back.

A few of these guys Melvin fought recently were way bigger, like Njokuani and Adesanya. He needs to get his weight under control and stop fighting at middleweight.

Guillard's clearly in the foreground there. He's only listed as 1 inch taller, and looking at the fight that seems about right (maybe 2).

Overall I still think Guillard clearly more fitted for Lightweight/Welterweight.

Only in Japan would people applaud this match-up in 2018.

That's my fault, I made a screenshot at this moment. This is from video on facebook, I can't share it.
Try to search the name of the event.
You'll clearly see that Guillard is way bigger.
