Greatest Punk Band by number of Quality Albums

That's the game. Not the greatest period, but by discography and specifically the number of high quality albums.

It's a tough call, but I'm going to say Rancid is up there.

Let's Go
Out Come the Wolves
Life Won't Wait
Self Titled (less awesome but still great).

Really, I think the first three are just each so different but equally amazing that it puts Rancid at the top of the list.

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes

Or at least greatest cover band of all time, dammit!

Bad Religion? Idk. I really like some punk, but never got too into it as a genre. Which is weird because I played in a punk band. I guess that’s why we grew tired of that and turned into a metal band within a year.

But Pennywise, Straight Ahead, is an album I still listen to almost daily. Great album. One of my all time favorite albums of all time in any genre.

Bad Religion is a good pick. NOFX, I guess.

Thanks for all the shoes.
Punk IN Drublic
Heavy petting zoo
etc

But NOFX alway sseemed sto gimicky

Suicidal Tendencies

Suicidal Tendencies

Walk Among Us
Static Age
Legacy of Brutality..
Earth.A.D.

Devils Whore House..

Yes I love the Misfits with Glen. Cliff Burton turned me on to them.

I also love The Adicts. I was never really into Punk but some of that shit is catchy as hell.

I second The Misfits. I love all those albums and Evilive. Each album is so different but equally awesome.

Social Distortion

Mommy's Little Monster
Prison Bound
Self-Titled
White Light,White Heat,White Trash
Sex,Love and Rock'n Roll

Sticking with hardcore punk, punk rock, etc since post-punk would be far too difficult.
Ramones or Dead Milkmen for me.

Tough call. Once a punk band starts selling well they're by definition no longer punk.

I also feel that a good punk band needs to be about social consciousness.

So, DK's. Several good to great albums in a row.
