Ocasio-Cortez Wins Another Primary… as a Write-In Candidate… in a District She Wasn’t Running In

I think people just want fresh faces. People are waking up to the fact that career politicians don't accomplish much for them.

Its unfortunate they chose a nut like this, who won't be able to deliver anything she promises either.

I think Trump was the beginning of rejecting the same old same old. Both parties would benefit if they followed suit.

Alone she cannot deliver most probably. None of us are naive-- we are banking on a real change. I think the democratic party is dead, the republican party does not represent enough actual people to be viable and the progressive democrats are the future of the country. This is demonstrably true if you go issue by issue for what people want.

Having Cortez in office is better even if she cant deliver in the sense that you actually have someone in there that is not just pretending to be for what the people want like 99% of the other frauds on both sides.

We are hoping to change everything and getting money out of politics is really all it would take to get this done.

With crazy eyes like these you know she's a freak in bed.

Looking at those eyes, I am sure she has held a gun to a guys head while he was going down on her.

Tragically, it seems like a lot of people have the intention of changing politics for the better but instead the politics end up changing them for the worse. To put it another way: they want to change the system, but the system ends up changing them.

Sure but the main reason for that is money in politics. If you take that away the odds of corruption and maybe more importantly the degree of corruption is far less.

Also I would add that I really doubt the Pope was referring to Cortez level socialism as most of the things she stands for are in alignment with Catholic teaching. Rather it is he Republican party and Republican Catholics that find themselves at odds with Catholic teaching on almost all economic issues.

I think Republicans and Democrats are each in alignment with Christian values about half the time and that is why I think we need to be able to vote directly on more issues, especially wedge issues.

I am more pessimistic. I think it is more than money that corrupts. Political corruption is the norm and always has been at all levels of politics all over the world. I do not know of any country where the politics is not corrupt. The measure seems to be which countries politicians are less corrupt.

I agree with you there man. Right now though bribery is legalized and it's just an obvious place to make a change.

Her views are too extreme. Someone more moderate is what we need as a nation, not further left or right.

We need what rhe people want.

Not really. We will get what the people want, but that does not mean it is the best thing to happen. There have been plenty of horrendous democratically elected politicians.

Right now, I think it is fair to say that we need people who are more moderate and can bring people together. Going far left or far right is just going to piss off half the country even more.

You cockblocked yourself!

She's probably the most attractive politician I've seen. It's not exactly a deep field, since most are either men or old ladies. But if you actually see this girl give an interview, she's very attractive and very charming. I don't like her politics, and wouldn't vote for her, but she's definitely a star in the making.

Edit: For the record, a "star in the making" when it comes to politics is a nightmare scenario to me. In general, that kind of thing makes me uncomfortable. I don't want politicians to be stars, I think that can lead to trouble.

Man look at them eyes and teeth.

She look like she will fall in love if you kiss her hard enough.

You mean you don't like it when you get packages at work with dead pigeon heads after you break up with a girl?

Or when they show up at the house unannounced looking to talk to my wife....

Never again.

Everyone gonna be salty when President Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson makes her Secretary of State in 2020!

And people are saying it's the Trump voters that are idiots?

60% of the country wants Bernies policies. You are right we need someone in the middle---- but that is the middle. Corporate media on both sidles are lying mis-framing mother fuckers in the way they present these issues.

On the dem side they keep saying unify the party but what they mean is lets all rally with the minority fucking corporate policy postilions. They fucking lie.

You cant piss off half the country when 60% want all the issues your pushing.
