Ocasio-Cortez Wins Another Primary… as a Write-In Candidate… in a District She Wasn’t Running In

60% of the country wants Bernies policies.

L O Fucking L at this

Bernie didn't even beat Hillary in actual voter votes aside from the super delagates, and that's from the half of the nation that would be sympathetic to his views

I'll give you 20% at best on how many actually want Bernie's socialist policies. They're just loud and young so handle the social media avenue well

I know it sounds crazy man but it is 60% for most of his issues. No kidding. He has significantly over 50% for every single issue he ran on. I could not belive it wither but it is true.

You didn't either man. I follow this pretty closely. Study after study poll after poll just keep coming out this way. It wont take you long to look it up of you are curious. It is the main piece of knowledge among progressives and the reason why we feel getting money out of politics is so important.

Please show me where Bernie does not believe in private property ?

taxes and healthcare are not socialism and this drives me fucking insane

I dont think bernie gets 60 percent of the country but I do think 60 percent do agree with some of his more popular positions. same as this Cortez bitch shes a loon and it isnt positions like abolish ice that get her support

People dont want to become a communist country they just want healthcare and not to be wage slaves and to be able to afford some college, and we need to meet these needs or else

I was ranting about this yesterday

If his positions were more popular, he would have done better in the primaries than he did. I think the establishment of the DNC was looking to anoint Hillary, but they were looking to anoint her back in 2007-2008. They didn't turn a deaf ear to what became President Obama because he was more popular. If Bernie had that effect, he would have won. I just don't think his positions are as popular with people as some might have you believe. I would wager that there are a good 20% of the population that shares or identifies with his views, but I don't have a stat other than primary results to back that number up.

He's a self-described Democratic Socialist?

yea hes an idiot using the word wrong too

I think hes even been yelled at for it by denmark

But let me clue you in here

If someone believes in private property they arent a socialist

Yep but that does not mean what FOX news makes you think that means my man.
Socialist: a person who advocates or practices socialism. Socialism: a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole (meaning via the state).

What's not to get?

Then it should be easy for you to post up some links...

That Bernie and Cortez do not want or align to the definition you just wrote. That is what you need to get. There has been a confusion of terms and definitions-- most of it on purpose by those who are against bernie and the like.

Here are Bernies own words on what it is to be a DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST.

I think it means the government has got to play a very important role in making sure that as a right of citizenship, all of our people have health care; that as a right, all of our kids, regardless of income, have quality child care, are able to go to college without going deeply into debt; that it means we do not allow large corporations and moneyed interests to destroy our environment; that we create a government in which it is not dominated by big money interest. I mean, to me, it means democracy, frankly.’’

When he was in college, he joined the Young People's Socialist League. I'm reasonably sure he knows how to use the word. There seems to be some level of disagreement within self-described socialists about the level of state-ownership though. Some seem to say that private property is ok, while others don't (the latter seem to mostly self-identify as communists though). Some seem to think that private industry is alright until it gets too big (probably more aligning with Bernie's views), while others seem to want all production in the hands of the state (again, most of which seem to self-identify as communists). I think the issue here is that the socialists can't all seem to agree on the tenets of their ideology, but that's pretty normal. Hell, Democrats and Republicans can't all agree on the stances that their parties should take, so why should socialists be so monolithic?

Because to be a socialist unlike a republican or a democrat there are very rigid beliefs you have to hold

What we need to do in america to help keep things honest is stop using the words communist , socialist , nazi and fascist as everyone seems to mean something different when they say them

Yes. And it's not even close

Trumpers aren't the ones here that voted in a candidate that wasn't even eligible for that election
